Thanks so much for this. This is my first venture into 3d printing and you have saved me hours with this little snippet of information. 10 months later and yours is still the only video on KZbin about this resin! Settings that worked for me were 5 second exposure and 55 seconds on the bottom layers on an anycubic photon mono 2

i have a Halot Mage PRO and i use 15-20sec burn time, and 2.5~3.0 Norm Exp time, 6 Burn Layers, 6-8 Trans Layers, 1mm/s Burn Speed, 6mm/s Norm Speed, 10mm Lift Dist. but i use Light OFF settings too since ABS gets to hot. Bott & Norm are same - 1.5s Before Print, 1.5s After Print. 0.5s After Lift the idea is that Before Print - lets air bubbles escape, After Print - lets it cool off and lets layers fuse better before trying to rip it apart on Lift. and 0.5s After Lift - is so it has time to come to a full stop before changing directions. especially with large/heavy models. but when i do Over 30sec burn time, its hard to get the model off the build plate. even with a magnetic flex plate. thats why i use 15-20 sec Burn Exp depending on the size of the model. with ACF Film, i dont need it super welded to the plate because it doesnt stick to the Film the same way it does with FEP. or NFEP. any printer can use ACF film. it lets more light thru.

Interesting. Yesterday I set up my printer with this new resin without even thinking about changing settings, my print came out almost exactly the same as with 1.0 resin. It wasn’t a highly detailed print so perhaps it’ll become obvious if I was to print a mini or something

I'm using the 1.0 with 2.65s exposure at the moment and find it breaks/shatters easy. I even ordered Siraya Tech Tenacious to mix in as I wasn't happy with it. Its not bad for busts or larger models but I don't like it for minis. I'm gonna have to try this 2.0 as I just saw it on there site then jumped on KZbin for a review and here I am. Weird it has double the exposure times.. Thanks for the video.

Durability is subjective. I mostly print tabletop minis so they need to be somewhat durable. I've been happy with the results from 2.0. Definitely more brittle than plastic. It's a huge improvement from normal resins though. I just finished my first prints with sunlu's abs like. I'll post a video with my thought on the sunlu resin in the near future.

Wow, I'm not having that problem at all. My Gray ABS-like prints are crazy resilient. It's all I use now for minis. How long are you curing them for in post-process? For most of my minis, I'm curing them in my wash & cure station for two 4 minute rounds (flipping them over after the first round to make sure I get all sides). I crank it down to 3 minutes if the parts are particularly fiddly and/or thin. This seems to hit that sweet spot of rigidity & flexibility. My parts come out slightly harder that plastic, but have enough bend in them to resist snapping if undo pressure is applied.

Recommended settings for my Saturn 2 are 2.5-3 seconds for 2.0 Have made multiple attempts with 3 seconds. I keep having failures. I want this resin to work as it is much more flexible. ABS 1.0 shatters like glass. Will try 5 seconds. The base layers seem to stick better oddly with 2.0. I am down to 30 seconds for 2.0 where I have to go up to 34 -36 seconds with 1.0 depending on model size. Hope I can dial it in.

glad to find this because i was printing on my saturn s using 2.8 and consistently failing after many calibrations ive finally narrowed down my exposure time between 5.5 and 6 seconds. It took me way to long to calibrate because i couldnt find any information on the abs like 2.0 and was basing most my tests off the recommended 2.5 - 3 seconds of the regular abs like. Ikept trying to over expose it so i could find a range and everytime I upped my test it was still coming out underexposed. I almost gave up, wish the exposure times were easier to find so I didnt waste so much time. I printed at 2.5-3.2 in .1 intervals then upped it to .5 intervals from 3.5 to 6.

I just got my first bottle of this stuff delivered an hour ago. 5s per layer is disheartening but good to know. I just finishee a bottle of their 1.0 abs and inwas happy with its durability but found it broke easily. Nesrly every print i did was a fail and i never got it calibrated just right. Cones of calibration never worked and eventially i just settled for 2.5s exposure time per layer. Rarelynwas there a success and aince i was trying to do full plates, it only made it more difficult. Even the ones that succeeded, I found them brittle. I guess longer print times is a small price to pay for better prints. Im going to start woth 5 seconds and figure it out from there.
