Whatcha got for FPV 3D printing ideas? 🤔 If you're thinking of getting into 3D printing, this Elegoo Neptune 2 is a great value (if you can find one in stock)! 👍 They've been putting them on Amazon a few weeks apart with about 12-20 in stock. They go quick so you gotta watch for them! 😀

Welcome to 3D printing. Great first project. FPV got me into it a couple of years ago and still love it. I do a lot of robot projects with my daughter along with FPV parts. Like others have said, it can get very frustrating but stick with it and you will love it. Enjoy!

3D printing is a very nice stuff, TMac. I have one three years old Creality CR10 and I have printed some airplanes and quad parts. You are a real printing painting artist. Congrats

That's fantastic Silvio! 3 -year old CR10 and still running smooth I'm sure! Airplanes & quad parts? I've got some work to do before I can even imagine catching up with you! Well done Silvio!

I'm glad to see you made the leap into 3d printing. Your project came out great(beware of painting PETG). I have learned that in 3d printing things get worse before they get better so be patient. I hope to download some of your STL creations in the future. Great video Tmac.

Hey, thanks Lawrence! Great to hear from you. Why beware of painting PETG? guess I'll have to research that one! I've got sooo much to learn, but I truly enjoy that.

3D printers are cool tools. You can use change filaments midstream using the post processing scripts in cura . With a little careful planning you may have gotten away without having to paint at all...of course that takes time and painting might be more efficient...but something to consider..Wait until you start making things you need around the house.....I recently made a soap dish and tooth brush holder for the spare bathroom....lol..

That's awesome Steve! Love the soap dish & toothbrush holder ideas😁Yes, I've got a lot to learn. Lookin' forward to it🤩

If you heat up the filament in an oven for a little bit it will make the prints look seamless with very little of the lines showing from printing

Thanks for the tip!👍 I've got a dehydrator oven on the way. Should arrive Monday🔥

yep...plastic is hygroscopic ..meaning it absorbs water from the atmosphere...I usually put mine in sealed bags and if needed bake them at about 170 F for 4 hours to get them dry...

I have found in almost impossible to paint. The paint does not seem to adhere like on PLA. I probably need to do some more research. I'm glad you started printing! Who better to learn from. I have been out of the loop lately but I'm always here on your channel. Keep fighting the good fight and stay healthy!!

Very cool. Just curious if it will do flexible tpe.

Nozzle (260) and heating bed (100) temps are within flexible TPE range (235/65). That's about all I know on flexible TPE. By the way, Dale, are you the same Dale on FB that flies fixed wings?

@@TMacFPV Sorry, no. I'm the "Dale" that had the problem with getting telemetry data from a nano rx. Thanks for your help!

I tried getting one of these the day after it was released and they sold out soo quick 🤬

I know! I just got lucky one day. Checked on Amazon and by chance they had 12 in stock. Ordered one, sent an email to someone to let them know and a couple minutes later they were all gone! Seems like they get a couple dozen in stock about every 2-3 months and they sell out in less than an hour

Takes 35 hrs??

Yes, for those settings I used with the Cura slicer program, it took that long. You could easily print it out much faster by adjusting the settings to do so. Its all how you set it up. I was ok with using the settings for "miniature 3D prints" on this rather large logo base. That's what made it take so long
