Oh... that's going to be a challenge because we never clean our bars 😂😂 except for brushing down the chalk and occasionally using the Eleiko Clean to wipe it clean.

They've taken it down for awhile due to it not meeting the new testing standards that they've set. Having said that, those who've purchased this bar need not worry about anything. This bar should last a long time.

Is this bar quieter than the XF bar? I wasn’t a huge fan of the XF bar because it was much noisier than my weightlifting performance bar.

Hi Brian, we're not sure if it's quieter because we've never been bothered by the noise. However, since the bearings/bushings are the same, we would reckon that it makes the same amount of noise.

How would you say Eleiko bars compare to Ivanko? Seem the two highest-end options.

Honestly, we've never seen or used an Ivanko barbell, so wouldn't be fair to make a comparison. Having sold a lot of Eleiko barbells, we think primarily customers buy Eleiko because they trust the brand, the quality. If you like an Ivanko bar, for example, there's nothing we can say to sway you to an Eleiko bar. Secondly, Eleiko sells this "Eleiko feeling" of their bars and this is so true. It is very difficult to quantify it, but most of our customers who come to the showroom and "test drive" the bars say that the bars do feel different (caveat - in Malaysia, most people either use a Chinese made bar, Rogue and, to the privilege few, Eleiko 😂) Reviews are good to give you some reference points, but at the end of the day, when possible, try out the bars that you intend to get before making a purchase.

@@zealfittv3348 Oh, Eleiko is where I am leaning! I just thought they were the two sort of "top dogs" in the game. Training mostly hypertrophy these days, seems like the Hybrid Bar is probably the best bar in the world for my splurge treat to myself! :)

Hahahahah ok. This is all subjective anyway. We're biased so obviously we want to promote Eleiko, but the Hybrid Bar, we believe, is probably the most all rounded bar, at least in the Eleiko stable of bars. It also has that added benefit of being rust and scratch resistant... plus it looks amazing!

At one point when you were talkin about the spin. You said the xf might not be spinning as well because its new. Is that normal for new bars to not spin as good when theyre new or if one side spin slightly more then the other side?

It depends. Sometimes the lubricant has higher viscosity which makes the bar spin less, but over time, the bar should spin as it should. As we mentioned in the video, we couldn't even tell the difference when lifting even though the Hybrid bar seems to spin less

Yes they are being discontinued at the moment. No replacement as of yet. FYI, if you've bought the bar, the bar can still be used and should last a long time.

@@zealfittv3348 Hello again Azmir! Thanx for your reply. I thoroughly enjoy your informative videos. I found-out about the Hybrid Bar when I tried to buy a second one last week. I called Eleiko and was told that it will be replaced by “a more exciting bar;” hummm, could Eleiko finally make a stainless steel bar? The EVO dumbbells have stainless steel handles. What do you know? Salaam alaikum.

Does the coating on the sleeves chip off?

By right it wouldn't, but if you, lets say, knock/scrape the sleeves against the floor, it probably would.

@@zealfittv3348 I use training bumper plates and was wondering if they would chip the sleeves when putting them on the bar. thanks for the response thinking of pulling the trigger on this

Technically it wouldn't. Even with the chromed sleeves we've never seen the chrome chip unless it's a manufacturing defect. With the hybrid bar, the coating is much stronger than chrome, so we doubt that it'll chip
