This is not my area of expertise at all. It's not even a casual hobby or something I would even know where to begin learning/studying (even though it all seems so fucking cool)........but every time Wes comes on a KZbin ad, I listen to the entire thing. I love how friendly and approachable you make this all seem and they're like fun little surprise lessons for me. You seem like a cool dude who not only really knows his stuff, but actually likes explaining it to other people in an approachable way. I'm excited to find the channel :D

You don't change the midi channel on your keyboard, you set the midi master channel on the unit and whatever sound you have selected will respond to that channel.

is it possible to shift recorded midi notes up and down all at once? Like when i recorded a midi sequence using an external midi keyboard and now i want all notes 2 notes higher, or a whole octave.

Great video Wes! I have the keystep 37 and am wondering why the digitakt can not record the midi strum feature accurately. Any idea why? Thanks!

because, even if you record unquantized, you can only record one note per step. Maybe with a high enough scale for your track you can manage, but only for very short sequences

Never understood sample packs. I thought sampling was about either making your own sounds or snatching cool loops from obscure vinyl. Also, no you dont need samples of a 303 to be producer! (Barf emoji)
