I just picked up an Enduro, I’m not sure if I like the angled bash plate on the front of the IFS. Last night I did a hike n crawl in Suzana pass mtns and it repeatedly gets hung up at that fr axle area . My Axial AX-10 Skorpian with 2.2 rims had a lot more capable in sleuce pit. However the realistic ness of the Element Enduro is boss, I like the IFS except for the lower front clearance,(just got to choose smoother lines.

A few of our Element RC steering bolts were not torqued properly and caused a bit of steering play. We tightened everything up and got 115 cm of steering diameter. A little bit better. So check all your steering bolts cause it limits steering. There is still a bit of flex in the shock towers and panhard that hurts steering diameter a bit. The vehicle is hard to trim straight. It seems to veer toward the direction where it last turned.
@TerraQuestRC5 жыл бұрын
Notices that as well, the straight tracking, after I tightened up things. Seems the truck likes it loose. Could be the the servo, though its the best rtr servo yet, still lacks enough of something to return to center fully.

@stpbasss37734 жыл бұрын
I am usually an anti traxxas guy but I have to admit the trx4 is insanely capable and and very durable easily traxxas most durable RC. I have the Bronco and sport trx4, I used to have a gen8 that was pretty good too just not as durable as the trx4 but pretty capable and I've had 2 axial scx10ii that were good but only after some upgrades like shocks and things. I really think my next crawler is going to be an element but I'm having a tough time deciding between the sendero, trailwalker or trailrunner lol.
@TerraQuestRC5 жыл бұрын
Not rooting for Traxxas, Element either. But I figured it was going to be a tough call in the end. If you know your trails, you will be able to decide which is more suitable. As it is, I kind of hoped that the Element would do better, especially in the turn radius. Really is going to come down to personal preference, Traxxas haters will be all over the Sendero claiming it to be better of course. Personally I don't like the Sport body, the Sendero gets my vote, but looks like it will have to be replaced sooner. Element has some catching up to do and the 3rd party support is going to be a key player for the success of this vehicle. So, Sport needs a better servo, and overdrive front diff (maybe), some time spent cleaning the windows or new unpainted body. Sendero, tires, esc (HW1080), bumpers or mod them, and body sooner. Cost for modifications is pretty close to each other so that doesn't help tip the scale, really is going to come down to style over performance. And don't get me going on the "portals aren't scale", maybe not stock but they do make them and get installed on 1:1 rigs. Enjoyed every minute and it was an eye opener to realizing the the Sport really is tough to beat.

I own both trucks. I bought both as soon as they hit the market. I've driven both trucks box stock on the exact same trail and rocks. They are so close it's not funny, really it would come down to personal choice. Quality wise my Element was damaged and packaged that way. The Sport had no issues. If you leave the front bumper on the Element it performs poorly and would get beat by a lot of trucks. The motor is much smoother and quieter than the Sport but like RCREVIEW said reverse is super touchy and difficult to master. Tires about the same the more you run them the better they get. The portals and overdrive cancel each other out on my trails. The Element body is super thin, like break on the first run thin so I taped the inside of mine to strengthen it. As far as this videos assessment I agree the Sport has a minute advantage. Either truck is a great choice and I think this debate will go on and on lol.

I agree. What says it all to me is Traxxas hooked their shocks up properly (only Vanquish has also done this) in a double sheer setup. It's getting old when companies keep screwing the shock tops into a flat surface and preventing proper shock articulation or causing binding.

Was looking to get the Enduro, but no one in Norway sells this car yet and by the looks of it the TRX-4 Sport is a better choice. Now, that being said, do you know the travel on the stock servo on TRX-4 Sport? With the TX/RX/ESC included you can't switch to a Savox 1210SG without swapping all the electronics due to no adjusting the maximum angle on the servo. So to keep the stock electronic, the only way to upgrade the servo is to go with the Traxxas 2255? My brother tried to install the 1210SG in a stock TRX-4 Sport and it twisted the whole front axle. Got any tips for a servo besides the 2255, or do I need to change it all up?

Nice comparison and non bias. I have a TRX-4 and just purchased the Element because of the good comments that I read in various reviews and was curious. I changed out the bumpers first off, replaced front and rear diff covers with brass and changed most of the plastic parts to the hard plastic upgraded available. Also trimmed the wheel wells some and added nice decals available on Amazon specifically for the body. Still waiting on two out of stock hard plastic parts though. Changing out the ESC as well. Working on a Killer body after I seen one you speculated on.

I own neither of these but had already decided that on my limited budget,the TRX4 Sport kit would be my next crawler. This video confirms my choice. My first "proper" RC car was an RC12E so I have a lot of affection for the brand,but for pure performance the TRX has it. I don't think people should forget that this (the Enduro) is a new car and still a WIP,the TRX has been developed over time to get where it is,I'm sure the Element will do the same,but at the cost of the purchasers pocket....excellent video again the best.

Is the trx4 really built like a tank? People say trx4 portal input gear is like pot metal. First thing to break and expensive to upgrade. Element has some plastic gears in the transmission but their probably cheaper and easier to upgrade than Input gear in 4 corners of the car. People who bashes element gatekeeper say it takes more punishment than axial wraith, bomber and capra. I'm not convinced a kit with portal axles takes the same punishment. I still don't own any of these. Just researching for my next purchase. I'm looking for more basher, stock crawling performance isn't that important to me. I'm considering gmade gs02f, element gatekeeper, and trx4 sport.

I always thought the real fun is getting a rig, no matter how capable or expensive, to perform or climb better than you think it should.😎 Great rigs, both look like a good time.
@RCReviewChannel5 жыл бұрын
i think you captured our spirit there. Get good rigs to do more! And have fun trying.

Have you tried the RC4WD vehicles??
@RCReviewChannel5 жыл бұрын
No but a few in our group have them. So pricey and more for scale than performance.

I was just thinking can you do the turning radius test again but on grass or dirt. The enduro has really good traction and I don’t think the pavement sidewalk test is fair because of the surface or do it on dirt but with the same exact tires on both trucks
@TerraQuestRC5 жыл бұрын
Worn cement is a good media for testing, if your taking the rigs on rocks, rarely will you have great traction and testing the rigs while turning on a surface like cement will clue to the performance. Turn radius does matter when crawling, you have to be able to turn and make it on to that next rock. I have a favorite place for testing mine before hitting the trail, the surface is so close to the rock faces on the hill that I am able to tell if work needs done before heading out. My test spot is a 51 degree cement embankment 6' high. The Sport made it without any modifications but with a slight twisted three wheel ascent, the Sendero makes the approach (with new bumpers), but just sits at the bottom spinning the tires. Even after putting the Canyon's on the Sendero, it was the same. It lacks the weight of the Sport and couldn't force enough grip to ascend. The General's wouldn't grip that well on the Sport either, partial ascents and then just start sliding down.

5 slots , not poles. when talking poles you are referring to brushless
@RCReviewChannel5 жыл бұрын
Correct!!!! 5 slots in the armature. 5 electromagnet segments. Appreciate this very much.
@CarminesRCTipsandTricks5 жыл бұрын
Give him a small break though... Us older guys started with ONLY Brushed Motors. We called them ALL "Poles"..... It's an adjustment I'm making myself! 😉

I have driven both and definitely prefer the TRX-4 Sport. The Sendero is still awesome though and just as much fun, maybe a little more at times.

Here in UK the TRX-4 Sport RTR is $511 and the Element is $381.25. Quite a difference!
@RCReviewChannel4 жыл бұрын
That's crazy!
@mosteller28895 жыл бұрын
The main difference I see in the video, are the tires. Every now and then the portal axles come to play. Am I right? It looks like pretty much same capabilities except for portal clearance
@RCReviewChannel5 жыл бұрын
steering, modulation and the TRX-4 is more planted in loose stuff or in very technical climbs. Sendero does very well on steep slabs. They are very close though and in a league of their own.

@@RCReviewChannel Well one of the shocks on the axial is leaking. I'll have to send Horizon Hobby a message about that. I experienced this with my Arrma granite 4x4 BLX too. Interesting. I'll see if the trx4 sport gives me any trouble out the box. I hope not.

Truly great insight. What would you say are the weaknesses of the Element RC Enduro Sendero? Love that we have another great choice now.
@blackbirdrc83484 жыл бұрын
this is why i love this channel. No bullshit! The problem with the element's reverse is the 75/25 throttle position the stock controller comes with. Even with the new axe gen8 coming out I still think i'm gonna opt for the element as my second rig. It'll go nice wit my trx4 sport.
@RCReviewChannel4 жыл бұрын
They're both so close. Element is more flexible. TRX4 is more robust.

And my winner is.....both ! Yes I'm extremely spoilt so I just bought both trucks. I immediately bought the MKS X5 HLB550 servo for both trucks, a Hot Racing alloy servo horn for the TRX4 Sport, and the Hobbywing 1080 ESC for the TRX4 - I didn't want to mess around with the extra BEC for the Traxxas ESC, and I don't want to use Traxxas ID plugs

@SJTYSKA5 жыл бұрын
thank you for the honest review. I agree with it completely. I was afraid you would jump on the band wagon but im glad you didnt. I own both as well and the only thing I would change is the torque twist comp, I think traxxas wins since the element has that weak c channel chassis and the stiffeners are made of weak plastic
@RCReviewChannel5 жыл бұрын
ahhhhhhhh.... didn't think think about that. There is a bit of chassis twist allowed since it's the same frame as an Axial. The TRX-4 is 1mm thicker in frame and it's a huge difference.
