Element TITAN 3-18x VS 5-25x - Which Is BETTER?

Do you own one or both? Which do you prefer and why? What is it mounted on? By the way, those were Sunwayfoto tripods, HIGHLY recommended.

The reason I want the smaller base magnification is a clip-on nightvision infrared camera. My clip-on has its own base-mag so when the minimum mag of the scope is too high I have zero field of view

It is a matter of opinion, but some would say it's likely similar glass with smaller but equal turrets and tracking. The 3-18x has more internal E than the Arken.

Among myself and 4 other regular shooting buddies have a huge amount of scopes we often compare with one another. The Element and Hawke brands of scopes are the worst possible overpriced scope brands to buy when compared side by side with other similarly priced and cheaper brands of scopes from Arken, Athlon and Meopta. Talk about night and day differences in prices and glass quality. The Element Titans should be realistically priced at $400 - $500 maximum, but are selling for $700 - $800 and it's insanely expensive for what you actually get. My friends ended up selling their Element Titans, Helixes and Nexus scopes and took huge losses on them. Two had the Top of the line Element Nexus at $1499 apiece while others including myself had purchased the Tract Toric 4-20x50 at $1297 apiece regular price (10% off when they go on sale or $100 off this past sale) which literally blew away the Nexuses too in sheer optical quality there was absolutely no comparison it was extremely laughable. Hopefully the new tip of the line Element will be at least like the new $1600 6-36x56 Bushnell Elite or $2399 (several vendor discounted prices) Vortex Razor gen 3 6-36x56 or $2399 Zeiss 6-36x56 at a cheaper and more realistic down to earth price instead.

Mark, the Arken EP5 5-25x56 is better than the Element Titan in both optical and tracking at a much cheaper price and I personally prefer the Athlon Ares BTR 4.5-27x50 for around the same price of the 5-25x56 Titan much better glass on the highest magnification around the same elevation travel better tracking and in a lighter 30mm scope, FYI they are all made in China. For around the same price, the Meopta 3-18x56 Optika 6 with extremely useable Mrad-1 reticle is superior to the Titan as well and isn't Chinese. I really think people only buy Element Optics and Hawke brand due to sheer brand loyalty and not for actual scope value.
