I did the bearings and tried with stock system. It helped a small amount. However adding the hub and gearing for the rear under drive really made a difference. The under drive actually slow the truck down some and added torque and control.

Hey everybody, I am having a problem with the new Element XF transmission and am hoping somebody here can help! As advertised, this transmission should be compatible with just about every, if not all, Element Rigs. Well, I got one of these and don't have any idea how it's supposed to fit in the Ecto! Especially with a Fusion 1800 motor!!! I couldn't find anything at all online and I've looked absolutely everywhere! If anybody's tried this PLEASE tell me if, and HOW you got it to fit!!! THANKS!!!

To have any chance for it to fit you need to swap out the whole skid. I know we mod stuff and all but why? My stock stealth x in my Ecto is perfectly fine.

Thanks for the reply! Swapping it out wouldn't be a problem. But the motor would be in such a position that I can't even imagine getting it to fit even if you took out the battery tray! Same thing with the SCX10.2. I was curious and wanted to give it a try, but like you say, I LOVE my Ecto just the way it is and am ready to send this thing back. Would have been nice if there had been at least some kind of info on just how to install it, but the only thing it comes with is a few screws. Thanks for writing, have been watching for a few years and really like your content!! 👍😁👋

Bearings actually suck for crawlers. Don’t last as long and terrible if you get your rig wet. Bushings are highly, highly underrated;) you are the same person who also thinks flex is everything;) haha

@@jjm2948 my most flexable vehicles are my Wendigo n gen8.. 😂 my favorite is my leaf sprung rc4wd yoga. n the tiny bearings in the original stampede n rustler were a damn joke as they turned to dust in min with 15 turn quad motors.. if it were only in the axles.. be a different story.. although I rarely need to replace anything internal bearing or bushing wise.. n it usually a bearing. on the top gear/spur gear in a stampede or rustler under brushless power if i do... so you may be right.. high speed is bout the only time you need bearings n then for water just go ceramic n you'll never need to replace them again..
