Those notes @ 2:56… goosebumps every time. Both on this video and the original song. Dimmu lost their essence when Mustis and Vortex left.

they didn't just leave, they were fired unfortunately. Mustis due to legal issues, and vortex due to his problems with alcohol and becoming a liability. That being said, dimmu was in their peak in those days. Especially with Nick Barker as their drummer.

I goes to show that the Dimmu core group have some sort of pathological discomfort being around actual talent. How else do you explain them ditching both Mustis and Vortex? They literally have to get a choir to replace Vortex in big live shows, and their songwriting has sucked balls without Mustis.

Absolutely. Spiritual Black Dimensions is my favourite Dimmu album, and one of my favourite ever. It’s so dark, energetic and has so much texture and feeling. But this song has it all - the melody, the growls, and Vortex’s clean singing. So beautiful!
