Central Park was called Seneca Village. A thriving (home owners) African American community. NYC acquired their land through eminent domain. Basically, they took it . I know that doesn’t feel warm and fuzzy but let’s tell the true history. Ty

Glad you mentioned some of Central Park's history. Here's just a little more Central park was largely occupied by Black Americans, many of whom owned their homes. They were removed, many of them forcefully, to make room for the park after wealthy White Americans visited beautiful parks in Europe. I know we don't really like to acknowledge these things, but if we don't remember our true history we're likely to repeat it. And we don't want that now do we?

One of the most original decorating styles I've seen. I think the secret is in the details, the accent walls, the color scheme, and how well it looks with the rest of the elements. I think I need to get some throw pillows like those for my Florence sofa from Manhattan Home Design, since their upholstery is very similar. Thank you very much for the video. His rent isn't $2520, its $2750. I'm guessing she filmed this over the summer, and this guy probably got a move-in incentive that nets his rent down... During the height of the pandemic when the city was empty this was common. But it's all rebounded now, and if that apt wasn't rent stabilized, I'm guessing it'll probably closer to $3200 or $3500 when his lease is up.

@@rmonson5002 his actual rent is $2750 but he got a month free when he signed his lease, which they prorated over the full 12 months so his “net” rent is $2520. So technically his rent is $2750 but he pays $2520. At the end of the lease, if he renews, it will jump back up to $2750 plus any other hikes he gets for the new lease.
