Elephant Fight | San Diego Zoo 7/7/24

Watch in “higher picture quality” 720p60 or 1080p60 ! The thumbnail might give you the wrong idea lol but these elephants are both young bulls. They are NOT mating. The San Diego Zoo has 4 African elephants (1 female, 3 young males). Hopefully these guys were just play fighting. The elephant in the last clip is Shaba, a 44 year old female and she is the only female elephant at the zoo. I’m sorry that PETA has brainwashed some of you into thinking that ALL zoos are terrible places, and continues to ignore the fact that there’s plenty of great zoos out there, including the San Diego Zoo which is world famous for a reason.

The best zoos are the last best hope to sustain and conserve thousands of creatures, part of the complex ecological systems that ensure humans can survive, although too many humans do not grasp that fact. Every time a niche is extinguished, like Jenga blocks, the complex ecological system begins to collapse, often with invasive species speeding the degradation of resources.
