Elephant Rescue in Cambodia

The Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary, in conjunction with the Save Elephant Foundation, has now provided a safe home for two former logging camp elephants, Kamlin and Arun Ria. With resources from Save Elephant Foundation and the expertise of many, these beautiful animals have now been transported to the Wildlife Sanctuary in Siem Riep. Here they will be able to roam free and live out the rest of their lives in peace. Special thanks to Lorne and Christine Thomson who generously bought the freedom of Arun Ria and Kamlin.

You need to be careful using the Name of Jesus and then throwing up stuff like gaia will outlive God or whatever you said...I don’t think you understand the Power of God. I don’t think you have a fear of The Lord either. I will not discuss doctrines with someone who believes in dead gods...it’s a shame/waste when you have to have a god for war, a god for food, a god for fertility, whatever else there is, etc. That’s not even practical. My God is Awesome and He’s Godhead Three In One. Stop wasting your time on demons, come and worship a Faithful, Loving, Gracious and Merciful Father that yearns to give you good things. Lek is the most influential woman to me, as she created a passion . More people should know what this extraordinary woman accomplished in a country very different from the West. She created Elephant Nature Park to heal and give safety to elephants that needed to be rescued from misery. Understand the mahout rides her to get her on truck & the chains coming off straight away can be overwhelming but i didn't like how the mahout boasted he'd been around elephants for years then was yanking on her ears

Listen to Lek at 13:49. She explains why the chains and ropes are used for a few days to ease the elephants into their new lives. In later videos you will see that mahouts no longer ride, and bull hooks are no longer used.

Why somewhere else when they rescued heavely abused elephants they dont do nothing abusive or frigthnening to elephants??..i dont like this kind of "we must to do because.."..those are not true and there is lot of videos in You Tube that prove that these weard "excuses" to use bulhooks,ride them and chain them to move animal to sanctuary rehabilititation is nessaseary is not true at all.Free them right away..and if u have a stik in Youre hand and being abused elephant before(oh they remember) is frightening to animals cause they fear those abusers and humans with stiks(looking like bullhooks).So..not good at all.

They explain at the end of the video,why. In other Lek videos it is explained better. They need to transport these Elephants safely to their new home, the elephants don’t know that that is what it is they are doing. They are communicating the only way the elephants understand at this point, to get them to the new home and safety. At the end of this video it is explained that the chains are kept on for two days to orientate the elephants to its new sanctuary. Once the elephant has an understanding of what is happening, approximately after two days, the chains are removed and the elephants have arrive to their new homes and , freedom as they now will know it.

Dragon Heart Forests are burned and cut down so palms can be planted instead. The palm oil industry grows because the demand for palm oil grows. Don’t buy any foods or products with palm oil in them. That is what you can do to help:) And spread the word.
