Description: English / Français 𝐑.𝐈.𝐏. 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐬
The rainforest supports a wide range of wildlife, including birds, snakes, insects, mammals, etc. This fauna is divided into diurnal animals, active mainly during the day like primates and most birds and nocturnal animals active mainly at night like rats, porcupines or some antelopes like the water chevrotain. In order to be able to film this fauna day and night, some trap cameras equipped with an infrared flash can be used. When they detect motion in their field of vision, they start up for a settable length and take color images. If the brightness is not enough, their flash is activated to shower the scene in infrared light and capture black and white images.
With these cameras working day and night, we discover that there are also animals active both in the day and at night like elephants. These mammals only sleep whilst standing in a series of naps of a few minutes that do not exceed 4 to 5 hours in 24 hours.
At night they attacked the first infrared trap cameras set up and then quickly realized that these lights were safe,
These infrared flashes revealed that for some of them, during combat, an eye had been gouged out because it was no longer shining. This is the case, in this video, of this male with the end of his left tusk broken (a fighter???) or of this one-eyed male, not disturbed by infrared, who mows at night the grass growing in front of our mirrors • a one-eyed elephant mo...

These elephants are sick of privacy invasions. I love the gesture the one at 0:13 makes with its trunk as if to say: "Eh, forget it. Screw you and your camera." 😆😆

An infrared flash is going to produce a black and white picture and will be visible in the dark. It produces a dull red glow that is not bright enough to catch your attention in the dark but if you looked right at it, it would be visible. A No-Glow flash is going to produce a black and white picture and will NOT be visible in the dark. It produces no visible light unless you are very close to the camera and will be nearly invisible in the dark. (Stealthcam trapcamera Manufacture). Infrared flashes provide much clearer, sharper and more contrasting images than flashes without glow. Although infrared is visible, wild animals get accustomed to it (see my explanation attached to my video)Keep watching the other videos on my channel kzbin.infovideos May I invite you to watch especially those that unfortunately have a very small number of views and are very informative like: First mud bath of an cute new born elephant with her mom and aunts: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKHNYomcoLN9iZY Fresh Water from Creeks triggers the urge to urinate in wild mammals: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ep3YenSvbNBjopo Eaters of waterlilies: Buffalo, Elephant, Sitatunga: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXqraGmjfq6imJY Can an elephant survive without half of its trunk lost in a poacher's wire snare? kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6CcmIqfbdWNp6c Before buying ivory jewellery or carved ivory objects: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJPYhZ1tpbOpfq8 and unfortunately there are many others in this case! There are "black-flash" trap cameras that are totally invisible at night to the eyes of humans and animals. However, when they film, their batteries emit infrasounds that make the elephants angry because they perceive them. Only the fourth elephant is in musth. These infrared rays are visible to humans and animals and therefore to elephants. However, there are "black flash" cameras whose glow is not visible to humans and animals but whose light level is often not enough. My cameras are all protected by steel security boxes, please watch my video kzbin.info/www/bejne/naeQlnmrnNB5npo Finally, I didn't clearly understand your last question: Do you want to know how long I've been photo-trapped with my wife? Does the cameras make clicks when taking photos or when motion is detected to start filming ?
@XHB06400CANNES
@XHB06400CANNES 4 жыл бұрын
The first cameras when taking a picture emitted a noise due to the shutter mechanism or the movement of the mirror (reflex camera). When digital cameras have been invented, an audible signal has been provided to inform the photographer when a digital file is taken because these cameras no longer contain mechanical parts. The digital trap cameras were automatically triggered when a movement was detected in their field of vision, so without any intervention from a human, there was no reason to provide an audible signal that could also alarm the animals. Hit the “show more “ option, I attach a description with more information to each of my 150 videos published on my channel. kzbin.infovideos

My wife and I are French people born in Africa (Senegal & Congo Brazzaville). We went to school in Africa and did our higher studies in France and then all our professional career, first in West Africa and then in Gabon. For twelve years we have been retired in France and regularly return to Nyonié for the maintenance of mirrors and cameras. We are neither scientists nor veterinarians. We wanted to thank Gabon, which has welcomed our family for more than 35 years, to show on KZbin the diversity of the fauna of this beautiful country and to make Internet users want to visit it. Our first videos posted on our KZbin channel essentially showed wildlife "passing" in front of the lenses of our trap cameras equipped with motion detectors: The passage of an elephant in front of the objective of a trap for about twenty seconds is not particularly interesting. On the other hand, a video of young elephants playing in a river while adults are quenching their thirst is much more enjoyable to watch. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5zQgXWiabODrJo (In Gabon front of trap cameras, elephants crossing Ndouni River). To find such "spots" it is advisable to get further away from the path used by the few 4x4 vehicles of Nyonié, to go deeper into the forest and to walk in the beds of creeks and small rivers. This is not safe, especially when you are old. To progress more easily in the forest, animals use this off-road trail, without vines, bushes, brambles and trees mixed on the ground because of the very numerous tornadoes in this region on the Equator line. We came up with the idea of placing very large mirrors at the end of a long straight line of an off-road track to catch their eyes and "block" them in front of their image. We have also placed other mirrors under trees where numerous animals appreciate the fruits. At other locations in the middle of the forest it would have been very lucky for animals to meet their reflection. Please watch the other videos on my channel and share its link with your friends: kzbin.infovideos

There have been lions in Gabon only in the eastern region with high dalles covered with savannah and gallery forests. The last one was killed near the town of Moanda around 1980. In central and western Gabon, covered by a dense rainforest, lions cannot live there.

Voir ma vidéo kzbin.info/www/bejne/naeQlnmrnNB5npo Merci de bien vouloir regarder d'autres vidéos de ma chaine totalisant malheureusement un très faible nombre de vues alors qu'elles présentent, à mon goût personnel, beaucoup plus d'intérêt que certaines de mes vidéos dépassant plus de 100.000 ou 200.000 vues kzbin.infovideos Je vous préconise : How elephants harvest mangoes when the branches are too high: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJO3npabpat9n5Y First mud bath of an cute new born elephant with her mom and aunts: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKHNYomcoLN9iZY Fresh Water from Creeks triggers the urge to urinate in wild mammals: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ep3YenSvbNBjopo Eaters of waterlilies: Buffalo, Elephant, Sitatunga: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXqraGmjfq6imJY Can an elephant survive without half of its trunk lost in a poacher's wire snare? kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6CcmIqfbdWNp6c Before buying ivory jewellery or carved ivory objects: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJPYhZ1tpbOpfq8 et il y a malheureusement beaucoup d'autres vidéos dans ce cas !
