Apart from his amazing technical prowess, what I think is a big part of his playing is the complete lack of tension in his body. Dude's totally relaxed and centered.This is incredibly important because at those tempi and intensity, any tension will show up straight away as groove imbalance, uneven dynamics, irregular beat placement, etc.

great technique, limb independence and genuinely super impressive stuff but we havent actually heard him add something to the song. obviously hes playing in a 30 second clip where he tries to keep our attention, not benefit the song, which is fair enough and seems to be working for him but like i think there are some way better drummers

I love this because it's a really interesting thing with our brains. When we become proficient enough in certain skills and build up the right habits, we start to autopilot things more and more until we dont even realize how cool some of the stuff we do is. This is really common in music when people start to put certain inflections or stylistic choices into their playing.
