keiko doggo I agree with you. I’ve only had one rottie. I had him for 7 years, his last two years he fought cancer. Myself and my whole family worked together to get him to his treatments etc..you can imagine the love and bond we formed. Like the dog in this video, my boy wouldn’t eat a hot dog in front of him unless I told him it was ok. A few years have passed and unfortunately I won’t be able to have another rottie for a while, I’ve now got a family of my own and rotties need a lot of attention to get the most out of them. However, I do have two other pals in my life. My Dutch shepherd girl and my lil blue heeler. As much as I loved my rottie, I gotta say the most versatile has to be my blue heeler. He’s the do it all kinda dog. Take a look at that breed, you’ll find a lot of similarities with the rotties.

Everyone's views are different, while having a tail is natural they can knock things over coffee tables, more risk of injury, etc. I believe a lot of tail docking and ear cropping were so the dog has less grips on them if they do have to put in work. I'm not someone into having super nice things otherwise I wouldn't have a German Shepherd lol The companionship and protection instincts outweight any cons that come with owning a working line dog

it's best to never allow a rottweiler to be without a leash in public places for extra precaution - if someone suspicious suddenly shows up they will respond immediately.

@angelwithashotgun24254 жыл бұрын
@Fernando Gonzalez I’m sorry but a frenchie can’t really be a guard dog..😅 not every breed has the right disposition for that. Also since they’re so small, they most likely won’t intimidate/harm an intruder, even if they wanted to. But they can be great watch dogs!

So, does this mean anyone can give your dog commands, even if it’s fully trained
@Rickyfreon4 жыл бұрын
Trained and socialized that's the difference. Strangers to a Rottie are people you don't interact with. There is nothing wrong with a well trained Rottie taking basic commands from those around you friends family etc.

There were a multiple times where the dog was allowed to break commands. I’d feel for a serious breed, you should only have to speak your command Once, and only once. Or they’ll make a habit of ignoring your commands, and/or only doing them the second time they’re asked. Breaking the down command, to bite the ball is a big deal.
@kiloDelta-wo6gm11 ай бұрын
This rottie is better trained than 99%of dogs if you want better than get a malnois. I prefer the laxer temperament and natural guard presence of the rottie over the hyper obedience and over the edginess of the malnois
