The probability game was something new for me as well as the summer programs counting as an award!

The Bruno/Giovanni graphic really was really eye-opening of how leadership roles in extracurricular can catch admission readers' attention, because it's not like they know how hard you've worked. They're coming from a blind perspective, and from that, Giovanni is the more intriguing candidate. I realized how I can use the leadership roles, even if small as being a leader of a club can be leveraged on my college application. Thank you so much for this video, really insightful. I honestly wish I knew the summer program thing earlier, because if I had, I totally would have done so many! It's completely doable to do 2-3 per summer, as you pointed out, and I'm kind of sad I don't have the chance to possibly leverage those anymore. But nonetheless, thank you so much for the amazing tips as always!

Things I learned (Not in order, listing after watching the video) Having leadership roles in a few activities showcases your responsibility and dedication Your hard work and accomplishments need to be visible to others. Consider the probability of winning awards or becoming a leader in extracurricular activities. Persuasion plays a key role in influencing factors like awards, recommendations, and summer programs Applying to multiple summer programs helps increase your chances of getting accepted. You can attend multiple summer programs in one summer and also start your own initiative simultaneously. Obtain a diverse mix of awards and honors to showcase your achievements. Start researching and applying for summer programs in November or December, and request recommendation letters from teachers

I learned to take your ECs or basically any activity you have to the next level or the maximum level possible with awards and leadership. Also, who knew summer programs qualify as awards? I learnt that too.

Dear virtual little siblings, this was actually one of the first 10 videos I ever made on KZbin (hence the intro + video quality). But the information here is absolute GOLD and honestly this content is just criminally underrated. So I'm re-uploading it again!! Hope you guys found it useful. I recommend watching in 2x speed and taking notes. With much love, Kevin. Link to part 1: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6TXhKasgc-besU&ab_channel=ElevatEdSchool

How do you list a summer program as an award? What do you write in award section?
@buffthepuff5299 Жыл бұрын
I was wondering if being consistent with the same summer program for many years (UChicago math program) looks better then many different summer programs
@elevatedschool Жыл бұрын
It looks great! Admission officers (AOs) love consistency! Though whether it's better than many diff summer programs depends on the other summer programs (ie whether they're prestigious, how low their acceptance rate is, etc.) Great question Magi! :)
