I know of a cool elevator you might want to film. The Broad Museum has a Mitsubishi hydraulic circular all-glass elevator. Admission is free as far as I know but you may have to wait in a fairly long line or get tickets in advance to enter.

In that case, if would've been nice to see it in its original state, as SchindlerHaughton is pretty uncommon. Btw, have you ever found one? Anyways, the mod itself is descent and the elevator itself is very nice, although they could fix that door/interlock issue on B.

Interesting observation. Yeah I don't go to JCPenny too often, but I know they have a lot of vintage elevators, often with Mods.

I have been in Russia & Eastern Europe & it looks amazingly along that style, which to me is fascinating from an artistic point of view as looks so soulless, but that kind of makes it interesting. Mind you in Russia they put in the lift shafts & no lifts as someone has walked off with all the money. Is very corrupt there.

Oh wow. That must be odd. I've seen an elevator shaft with no elevator here in the U.S.A. actually. And yes, this is a very boring and soulless shopping mall. The only thing that makes it interesting is the lighting used.

You are right a shaft without the lift is really kind of scary, it taps into our fear of falling & also not being to able to the bottom. Is also such an odd thing to see it really does shake one up. In North Korea, as there is so many power cuts the older you are the lower the floor you live on, as the lift won't run due to no power. So the elderly live on the lowest floors so they do not have to climb so many stairs to get to their apartment. Which I think is rather interesting.

ERM, even Dewhurst in general is such a bland and boring fixture.

+Top Hound I know right? This fixture isn't as bad as CA-92 (the plain white buttons). Those make me cringe. People say Innovation and ADAMS are bad, but here we don't see those as much as ERM, making them fairly interesting. Luckily, the blue lights, glass window, and the green accents make this elevator a bit more interesting, and allow us to overlook the boring fixtures.
