Interesting comparison. I've been playing around with Elevenlabs, and I've gotten surprisingly good results. But I am frustrated that every attempt to tweak the voice costs part of my allocation. I don't think I should be charged until I download the file. One thing you didn't address is how well each app lets you fine-tune its results. I know that Elevenlabs doesn't yet do breathing, sighs or laughs, thought they say those features are coming. There are some simple tools for adding emphasis and pauses, but it's pretty limited, on the Elevenlabs side, so far. I think it should respond to the sort of cues you'd see in a script, eg: (excitedly) Are we really going to fair, Daddy? Oh, I can't WAIT!

I would choose Eleven Labs. They are supposed to come out with a feature this month that will allow you to custom make a voice from scratch. Though, either service, would do what you need. I just think that Eleven Labs is just a bit more flexible.

Yea but eleven labs limits you to 500,000 letters per month(including spaces) for a $99 account and 2,000,000 per month(including spaces) for a $330 account. Plus you don’t get to preview the work before they charge your “quota” so it could come out with the entirely wrong tone and just trust me when I say you’ll regret getting it for that purpose. I got it for that purpose and regretted it.

I honestly don't know. I have had people tell me that youtube will monetize channels with AI voices, and others tell me it won't. I think that it has a lot to do with the content that you make. If it is what KZbin calls "low effort" content, then it probably won't get monetized.

I had the $22 version and then the following month I opted to return to the free version , on the paid version I had remaining 64000 characters when I downgraded they dedicated 54000 characters from my account which I had paid for, Not impressed they do not respond to emails. I now use revoicer which I find is equally as good if not better . One of the problems with elevenlabs I found the narration was too fast and had to use another program to slow it down. In revoicer you have that option to choose the speed Colin

I believe that there is a limit to the number of new voices you can add that is linked to the service plan you are paying for. For example, the starter (free) package allows 3. The next tier up, which is $5 per month allows 10.

From my knowledge, that isn't a per month thing. That number is total for your subscription. If you need to add more voices, you can either delete old ones for space, or you will need to upgrade to a higher tier.

Same bro takes a couple tries to get the generated voice good. Then it just eats up my monthly limit.
