0:35 Will's crying here and clinging to El like he doesn't want to let her go. I think something the show hasn't really touched is that Will has really bad anxiety. He internalizes it all, but it's definitely there. The whole time Mike was pacing and rushing and freaking out, he was tortured by thoughts of what El could be going through. He was truly worried about her safety, probably as much as Mike, but couldn't voice it because he was trying to be there for Mike

He loves Mike and can’t have him because of Eleven but he doesn’t resent Eleven for that - he’s her brother now and he loves her too. @@aiscee3 Yes, it’s not her fault, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have some negative feelings towards it. Will obviously wouldn’t want Mike to break up with Eleven to be with him even if he was secretly bi, because he cares about them both. Will wants to be in her place even if he never can be, which often times results in resentment towards the person your crush is with. But he doesn’t resent her - he loves her as a sister regardless of how their relationship makes him feel. It’s nice to see him and Eleven’s friendship is more important to him than the sadness he feels not being the one Mike loves, it’s usually played up as mean jealousy in shows but not so much here which is cool

They love each other so much its so sweet now Joyce and Hop need to get married so she can live with her whole family (because Joyce is totally her mom and ik we don't get many interactions between her and Jonathan but he did say that they were her brothers.)

Ah! her reunion with mike is so good for me, the way they incorporated the meaning with the sound, how the loud noise was drowning everything around her it felt like she was turning her humanity off(I really don't know how to describe it but if you watched tvd I think you would get it) and then comes mike's voice like a lifesaver, a lifeline to bring her back, to not lose hope, as his voice pulled her out the pool of darkness she was drowning in and in the following line she said "oh mike, it's really you?" it's just too good, it goes so well with this season theme, that music can reach part of the brain that words don't, and then in the next episode we have mike's monologue about her, they did a great job with the symbol and sound meaning, for max was kate bush but for el, her lifeline is mike's voice, her favorite sound. The sound that keeps her out of the darkness.

Mileven has my heart forever and Mike lost or waited to her come back many times. It was so hard for him. I’m sure he was so worried for El. Im glad Will made it easier for him. Omg El was so shocked she couldnt believe it was real for a second. Her love of life was there after all struggles. How El touched Mikes hair and their forehead press cutest and so touching romantic. And yes Will and El sibling bond was so unexpected made me emotional. It was beautiful 💖❤️And Will did not have negative emotions towards Eleven because of his feelings for Mike , very mature of him😎

I was in tears during this scene. Mike just scared El, first when he came up to her, but the realization that Mike was really there, that scared her more than anything. She hugged him so tight, and it was so sweet. Then, El saw Will. The way Will held onto El like he was never going to let her go was so sweet. Will wasn't close to El in the first few seasons, but now, it is heartbreaking, in a good way, to see how close they've grown.

Idk I wouldn't say Will and El are best friends but mainly one of El's only friends at school. Will is unable to help El with her bullying situation and they've been going to school together for months. Will can't even tell El that she's not following the rules of her class project. Everyone gave Mike shit for not standing up for her at the rink but completely ignore Will's known the truth the entire time and has done nothing. And he's contemplating confessing his love for El's boyfriend in hopes that Mike will reciprocate and leave El lmao... look I don't hate Will but his relationship with El isn't that close but they would be good friends at this point.

Anyway, for me though, i know they're all friends and treat each other like family, even, but must admit that we're all aware how close Millie and Noah are, and i just find their little scene of hugging much more, idk how to put it exactly, but like, genuine perhaps? I mean, Millie must also be close to Finn and the others, but it kinda just hits differently when both she and Noah made eye contact while crying and then eventually embraced. Kinda more organic and less forced out of acting.

@@cloudgirl8329 just kind of odd looking at an actors real life friendship and having that impact you that much in a fictional show during a certain moment imo. All writing and acting is technically forced, planned and all, but I think Finn and Millie have great on screen chemistry with their characters together as seen in seasons 1 through 3, and for the 12 min they were together out of a 13 hour long season 4 they still do have good chemistry, they just need to be together for the majority of season 5 which they most likely will. It's a shame people look at Finn and Millies personal lives and think they aren't friends or don't talk, they are definitely on good terms but they were thrown into a toxic environment they weren't prepared for, being told how good of a couple they would be when they were only 13... like yeah that's gonna make their relationship awkward, it doesn't make it forced tho... Mileven been the IT couple of the show since episode 1 so Mike and Eleven's relationship itself is not what I would call forced either compared to other canon and non canon ships. Season 4 was them going through growing pains but overcoming their insecurities which made their love for each other grow stronger. I get the criticisms of Mike and Eleven being too boring but they are just the IT couple of the show whether you like em or hate em

Interestingly, of the characters her age, Will is probably the one El had the least on-screen contact with before this season: In season 1, he was in the Upside Down. In season 2, El was separated from the others for pretty much the entire season (which I still think was a mistake). They were together more in season 3, but it was mostly life or death moments, so they couldn't really bond.

And yet, they've really been connected since the very beginning! It's so interesting to see this relationship develop over the seasons. They definitely have a very Luke and Leia dynamic (and like Leia, hopefully Will will be revealed to have some untapped powers :D)
