ElevenLabs vs Descript Voice Cloning: What’s Best?

Thanks for the video. The audio quality is important. There is a lot of background noise and echo. I tried both of these platforms with a quieter setup, both performed well, not perfect by any means, but good enough to use for parts of a script, especially with b-roll.

Yeah they are good enough. For some reason, the files that Descript output were much quieter. I had to boost the volume up and it also exaggerated a lot of the background sound 😕

@@GregPreece This was my setup, I used OBS to record the audio, added compression and noise reduction, and in Descript I used Studio Sound at 50% (you can match your studio settings). That worked well, the sound was clear, with little to no echo or reverb in an untreated room. I use a Samson Q2U mic directly into my Mac via USB-C.
