just painted my first 28 mm miniature yesterday and am waiting on some paints and shades to arrive, omg what an expensive endeavor! But I am hooked and thanks to you and others I am learning much! And my son says he may even get back into tabletop gaming if I paint his figures for him! Thanks for a great informative channel!

what do you use for your wet pallet paper? I have been looking for a good alternate to parchment paper available to Australia. Good video, but you might need to put a square tape box on your cutting mat so it can help you keep the work in the auto focus box of the camera and make you life easier.

Cheers Matty! Baking paper bro :) what's a square tape box?

@@Zorpazorp Just look through the camera with the focus box on and mark it out on the cutting mat with masking tape for reference while you paint, will make it easier to keep in focus while you paint. I heard someone say that the grids on green cutting mats are what make the camera go out of focus. In the end when I was watching you do the wood spear part it was totally out of focus. When your hand was blocking the mat the focus was working, when your hand was out of the way, it went blurry. Just a thought....

This is good, with one caveat - blonde hair isn't yellow. It is in anime, but find a blonde friend in real life. Their hair is more sandy. Thanks for posting!

Do you mean the thinner? Lahmian Medium :)
@georgiotoufexis70175 жыл бұрын
And why you use this?
@Zorpazorp5 жыл бұрын
@@georgiotoufexis7017 to thin the paint buddy. Every paint is made up of two parts the pigment and the solvent or the 'glue'. Lahmian Medium is essentially a paint with no pigment, so it's all glue. That way when you use it to thin you're only thinning the pigment of the paint not the glue element as well which happens when you thin with water :)

Ive been doing some painting of my models - Im very new to it and really enjoying it, thanks for the inspiration! Ive now finished about 20 models but just of painting the plastic models. I now want to make some nice bases for them but all I have are slot bases and I cant work out how I can prime the grit I put on the models with my fully painted model on it already. Do you have any suggestions on how I could go about this? Im a bit stumped as to how I can go any further with it and Im worried to paint more models in case I cant find a way around this and having to start over. Thanks for youre awesome videos and showcases, theyre absolutely amazing and I cant wait to see more
@Zorpazorp5 жыл бұрын
Sounds awesome dude good work. As for your basing usually you have a few approaches: - put the basing materials down before you prime if they need to be painted - paint the base separately and then pin them model to the painted base - or base the model with material that doesn't need to be painted. In your case, you'll probably just have to prime it by hand with a brush so just make sure you thin the paints a bit so they're not too thick :)
@awesomenesschanel5 жыл бұрын
Should I buy a certain type of primer specifically for model painting - because I haven't seen any that aren't sprays - or can I use any type of primer if I thin it down?
@Zorpazorp5 жыл бұрын
@@awesomenesschanel what range of paints are you using? I just prime in black usually or brown for bases.
