yes, i agree normal tv show's are edited. This show however is trying to claim that it is is a real roast battle and that the audience is just reacting how they normally would. To me this show is obviously not genuine. It appears to be employing the same tricks "reality" tv uses while implying it is just a roast battle

Maybe being out of New York thrown in LA is part of it. Still, his material could've been better. I think all the miscarriage stuff could've worked with the right flow. Like returning to the dead baby stuff had to be less obvious. Only late in the joke like a Patrick Schroeder thing.

East Coast Roast Battles at the Stand set the standard, IMO. Simple production and natural, funny banter between host and judges. The West Coast campiness seems forced and detracts from the battle watching experience and flow. Maybe I just miss the good old days.
