The funniest part about this comment is that these things you mention had nothing to do with tv or producing. Roast battle started out as a weekly show at the Comedy Store in LA, and these things were already part of the show. They exist because not all the battles are funny and they need punch ups.

They had the wave, they had some racist dude and all sorts of other schticks that probably didn't make it to television because of people being so soft and PC, brittle spirit, ect.
