Merengue PerSempre he didn't choose Virtanen bc of character, it was because of having a more NHL ready body compared to other forwards. So size > skill. But now, skill > size, and I'm happy :)

Pettersson is currently on pace for the best D+1 SHL season since Peter Forsberg. I’ll Never forget where I was for this draft. Ramada in Kamloops. Mom came to visit me because I was at school. I was PISSED we drafted him, wanted glass. Never been so happy in my life to be so wrong

I definitely wanted Glass before draft, but after learning about Pettersson he may be the Draisatl of this draft in terms of being somewhat over looked. For different reasons of course but if you re-do the 2014 draft Draisatl likely goes top 2 for sure. We might look back at this draft and think the same thing about Pettersson. NHL exec said if Pettersson were 15-20 pounds heavier he would have been a 1st overall pick. Will be interesting to see how this shapes out. Very excited to have him, to see how emotional this was for him and his family was very heart warming. Congrats to him and I wish him the best of luck.
