Elie, my younger brother received his Ph.D. from Harvard while I was teaching at Tufts University in the early 90s. There was Martin Luther Kilson, Eddie O'Neil, Cornel West, and even (but not so much) Skip Gates, and a few other black professors there who helped the black students deal with the racist environment at Harvard. I spent a lot of time there with him and we talked (one family member to another) about the situation. Thank you for speaking on this situation. Most blacks don't make it to that level and others have no idea about this situation.

We appreciate Elie so much! He is brilliant in many ways, but as a woman I notice his inclusion of women in the discussion. Very few advocates of justice for different groups do this. By the way, I always take credit for my younger sister’s accomplishments since I taught her everything very early. I encourage you to do the same. 😉 Stay well.

Regarding Elie Mystal attending Harvard University talking of how racist the institution really is and how it was assumed he only got in due to Affirmative Action because he was a Black Student. What Elie didn't mention in his experience; is the high number of White Students getting into Harvard due to Legacy Programs from Alumni & Donors. Question, isn't that Affirmative Action too? Those legacy students used their relationships to get into Harvard and it wasn't due to academic achievements. Why wasn't that taken to the Supreme Court as well; because it clearly an unfair advantage from relationships and not predicated on their academic abilities. Again, it's just another form of Affirmative Action that people feign not to acknowledge.

Same reason Georgia inmate P01135809 can have a string of wives he cheated on, a legal liability record full of fraud settlements including a fraud charity, publicly disavow American Intelligence while standing next to putin, steal classified documents, try to steal an election then incite a riotous insurrection leading to a bunch of current indictments etc etc and still be the darling of the Republican party and electorate. This tihs runs deep 🙄

There should never be segregation in education, as all society is drive by opportunity and contribution from all levels of economic class. Wherever mankind expend labor wealth is created, so why limit any possibilities to a better world. No one is here forever, the master of the universe owns it all we're all only visiters and house guest.
@theodorehaskins3756
@theodorehaskins3756 Жыл бұрын
So the world is not fair, and he who owns the gold, makes the rules, until something in that equation changes. The bottom line is, there’s not a game that you can play where the people who understand the rules, and the people who don’t, can win. It’s really that simple! So while some people are playing the game of checkers, others are playing the game of chess, and if you’re playing the game of checkers, and not the game of chess, I think it’s obvious who wins. So remember, the deck was stacked in the very beginning of the formation of this country, if not the world. The signatories to the Constitution were all white males, and we don’t know how many potentially were closeted gays. So let’s assume they were all heterosexual white males, and then ask the questions of why did they discriminate against their own kind? Why did they say if you couldn’t read or write your own name, or that you didn’t own land, you couldn’t vote? Why did they discriminate against their own mothers, and daughters? What did the Constitution say about “We The People” that God created all men equal, but not all women, and certainly there was no mention of anyone who we now classify as members of the LGBTQ+ community? These are some questions to ponder, and I haven’t even gotten into why they allowed slavery to enter the picture and basically commit the ultimate sin, that to this day, resides as a stain on that Constitution, and the flag, and the country that it represents.

Elie might not have liked Practicing law because he accepted a limitation to seriously defend the clients. He must realise what an Excellent Prosecutor and Defender he continues to be. This is one of the most realistic to the point confessions on White people. I always remember going to a majority White school from Kindergarten and switching to an majority Black school at 11th grade to finish school. The first time I heard the N word was in Kindergarten trying to be friends with little White boys. I didn't even know what it meant until I asked my older cousin. From that time on I distance myself from wanting to be their friend. I remember getting into a back and forth with a White girl in my 3rd grade class who called me brillo head and I called her mop head. The White teacher only said something when I said something. I had no intention of backing off. In contrast my brother is a year younger and he would go out of his way to be friends with White boys in his grade. One time they were picking on him and I had to go find the kids picking on him and when they found out that he was my brother that stopped messing with because by this time I had built a repetition by being a good athlete winning blue ribbons in field day competitions and not one to be pushed around to the point by 5th grade I was known as the fastest and toughest kid in the school. I was not a bully but I just wasn't going for their crap. My brother didn't learn his lesson so I had to always be in guard. It felt it was more important then my class work. I always wondered. What is wrong with these people? I was only 10 years old. The only time we were all cool was being on a team playing sports. It was kind of turn off for me. I had no idea that I was experiencing a micro of the macro world once I got into the world on my own. I started really learning more about Black history a few years after I graduated high school. I watched old Civil Rights footage with my aunt who was going to college to be a teacher while in elementary school so it made me feel justified sticking up for myself and others if necessary. I realized that what White people did to Black people was by no means an accident. It was all intentional. I would cringe inside whenever I hear a Black person say our Founding Fathers with reference to the U.S. Constitution. Yeah but we don't talk about how the first federal crime was the fugitve slave act written in the Constitution and how we are still effected by that today. I never hear how criminal justice that affects Black people can be traced to the fugitve slave act. All I hear about is the 3/5's argument. Just like the Dred Scott case and Chief Justice Taney saying "there is no right of the Black race that the White race is bound to respect" those words literally legalized racist experiences still going on today. I am now 61 years old and I still wondering when are we going to realize that these people will never change. We are we still trying to fix them. I am not a religious person and I was brought Christian but I never understood the White Jesus. I like information. I happened to see a KZbin title why God can not forgive Satan. I thought em. I watched it. That free will given to Satan according to the story started to remind me of the White man and the Revolutionary war. It was also a rebellion. What was the problem. These were wealthy people who would have never gotten the same wealth in Europe. So why didn't they appreciate what the King of England had for them. They rebells because they wanted it all. They had free will like Satan and chose to rebell. They knew slavery was wrong because they expressed who important freedom was plus they were Christians. They used willful ignorance to take advantage of Black people. They forbid Black people from learning just to make Black ignorant of the intentional conspiracy. Now that we have gotten a chance to read and write we think it our chance to prove to them we are valuable. In reality they knew the whole time. They have spent time making African people in N's. There can be no forgiveness for intentional acts. Turn the other cheek and love your enemy has been the worst advice Black people have been told. I tell people that Whiteness is racist by default. Black people were used so that the peasantry class of Europeans who were at the bottom could reinvent themselves. They had no other way other coming together other then having a common enemy. A thousand years of wars in Europe are all the proof you need. In order for Black people to get along with White people for the most part Black people will have to agree there is something wrong with Black people. Because you can only get along with White people when you agree with them.

My concern isn't current trump voters. My bigger concern is the future and a lot of latinos who vote for him now and will do so in larger numbers in the future. From my experiences as an Indian American which represents a small cohort that is extremely successful, I see our minority status (as part of the Asian community) and the latino community's lack of success as a precursor to a genocide within 50 years time...analogous to the 1920's/1930's Germany where the successful (but small) Jewish community were targeted by the larger German populous due to resentment and scapegoating.
