id love to work in your studio, you have everything so organized and neat (At least on the digital side haha)

Thanks! It took me several years to get the analog side looking neat and organized, too :-) You can get a glimpse of it in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kF6wXnyQg8qCfc0

Thanks again! That's exactly what I had in mind when I built it. Happy to have inspired you. Here you can watch how the studio has evolved over a period of almost 10 years from when I started building it in 2011 until 2020: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYOlmHZoYq6fnMU

Video suggestion: windows 11 and Matrix optimizations for DPC latency and audio buffer underruns.
@SonicAxiom6 ай бұрын
Thanks for your suggestion. Since I'm avoiding switching to Win11 for as long as possible, this won't happen any time soon. In the meantime, this video might help you avoiding audio issues, probably also on Win11: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpucmqijqZmZg8k

Can you help with my issue? At almost 50 I am having trouble getting my own coconut up and running. There is a very long latency before it begins to work.

Sure! At least I can try :) I'll try to get back to you shortly via the forums.

This is tangential, but are you running a third party shell or taskbar in Windows?
@SonicAxiom7 ай бұрын
You are correct. I prefer to use as little as possible from MS (only the bare operating system) and replace as many MS app as possible by third-party tools which are usually free and portable and do the job better in most cases. On this computer, I'm using OpenShell, I restored the QuickLaunch taskbar, I replaced the white window title bar by an accent colour to better be able to tell windows apart and I'm using System Explorer as a task manager replacement. I'm also using 7+TaskbarTweaker and WinAero Tweaker. I probably forgot to mention a few other replacement apps :-) Some people complain about the customizability of Reaper. I love tweaking and customizing stuff to make the computer and my entire working environment more efficient.

@@SonicAxiom I so agree and I guess I use most of the same customisations you do. Isn't it bizarre that MS manages to make each Windows version less and less usable for Powerusers? You can waste weeks to get rid of all their nonsense kiddy gamer shit assistant bloat after installing a new system. That's why I'm also still hogging on WIn10. I also used XP pro for as long as possible then went straight to Win10 pro. I might however need to do an in-place repair install, 'cos something got really messed up a few weeks ago and several ACLs on the system drive got effed up. I hope I don't need to go through the same hustle like a fresh install. What suxx most on a DAW are the ridiculous attempts by manufacturers running "copy protection" and background services for their audio apps and plugins and the gazillion serial numbers required to reinstall all of it... 😞
