Funny part here is I was the succubus and I planted my seed into several townsfolk some moments earlier and as soon as I needed to sleep since my character was exhausted 3 NPCs would rush the bed over and over as I just tried to recover some stamina.. I died like 10x in a row and I couldn't figure out why initially.. As soon I did, I just couldn't stop laughing for a couple of minutes. It was just too hilarious that it was possible in a game and I was the cause of my own stupid overworked deaths too.

some things to add Your default magic domains CANNOT be changed, if you pick something like warrior who only has 3, you have only those exact 3 forever. The magic domains you can change are the extra ones you get from feats (wizard gets 2, warmage gets 1, etc) by getting max rank in the mage guild. Endurance only increases your health and carry capacity, doesn't do anything more for stamina than other skills, stamina is specifically increased by ALL your skills, as the game says "the maximum is determined by the sum of all skills" Expanding on the take your time part, you also can't die of old age, so you really don't have to worry about anything taking too long, the only time penalties are winter for farming and your tax every month. Other than that great advice and while there's still some things people should know starting out it's a great video to help brand new players out!

you cannot change them WITHOUT MODS. The game has quite a few workshop mods that enable some things that people might want. Also, even farming isn't time gated as the sun lamps allow for year-round farming.

You don't even need mods, if you have cheats enabled you can change those with console commands in vanilla too, but still I agree worth mentioning that if you ever feel like you made a wrong choice with those you can just install a mod or use console commands to fix your character. Farming wise not only that but mushrooms grow in winter too so those are never time gated, I see so many people talking about "moving their mushroom farm indoors so they grow during winter" not realising that outside works just fine because winter just means no light, same as indoors. I was just giving examples of time based things that Might affect you early game if you're playing extra slowly mainly to mention the can't die of old age thing, since I was wondering about that for the longest time. Adding to that, you craft sun lamps with a sun stone from mining walls in I believe level 25+ nefia, so you can probably get them way earlier than you think! It took me over level 40 to realise that's how you get them so thought I'd throw that in there. Generally good point tho, I didn't think to mention mods cause kessel does vanilla guides and I personally don't use anything gameplay changing (except infinite stethoscope i ain't launchin the game without that) but yes, worth mentioning that if you don't like somethin' there's a good chance there's a mod for it on the workshop

Thank you @jhonangarthor As always you make some fantastic points. I should have definitely put some more emphasis on 'additional' as I was speaking about the domains. In regards to endurance though, are we sure that endurance doesn't affect maximum amount of stamina?I know that there is a note in the game that says it only affects health and max weight but I did some testing on this. It seems that races/ classes with higher endurance start with more max stamina. I know that this could be due to the fact that some races/classes start with more skill points but I still think that endurance plays a factor here. There also might be something else I’m not considering. Also as I was talking about passage of time, I was also thinking about ether disease but as we know it can be easily countered. Thank you! me when ether disease is so easily counterable i forget to even put it on the list 💀though to be fair i was having quite a bit of trouble with it at the start until I gambled enough to just buy antibodies at the casino as for endurance, it might just be because technically then the sum of all skills is higher? I'm honestly not sure at this point, I haven't made many characters to test how stats are affected, someone in the discord probably knows more about that type of thing than me and you're very welcome! at this point I mainly watch these videos so I can add to them in the comments(edit: this felt kinda rude so I feel the need to say I mean that in the "I don't need guides as much anymore but I'm still gonna watch all of these" way), after all my life in elin would be way harder if I didn't constantly stumble upon random comments with extra bits of information so what better to do than continue to share that knowledge! Speaking of which you should mention how cards work if you can, it's not really full video material but would make for a good bonus fact, I accidentally found out about cards as soon as I got one (and then a duplicate) and I'm only now seeing that a ton of people still haven't figured them out, never really crossed my mind but it's such a basic passive game mechanic that people really should know about it

you can keep a bed on you and press f5 when you are ready to sleep, it will drop and use the bed and when you wake up it will put it back in your inventory

Important tip for the gallows! Not only can you level up your own defensive stats, you can power level your offensive skills on allies! To do so, pick up and place gallows on an ally then choose to restrain them. If they are moving away from your heavy gallows, "grab" the gallows and them throw them near your target ally. A very effective way to do this is to save some money and buy a high level ally from an animal tamer npc (mysillia, derphy, casino in palmia) and then use them to train on. I think cerberus are level 40, and dodo rex are level 42 so they should be what you aim for early on. Depending on your negotiation this will cost 30-50k+. To guarantee one in stock you can save before talking to the animal trainers and load if they don't have one. This is extremely efficient training and will provide significantly more skill experience than doing low level dungeons as you are consistently landing lots of hits on a very strong target. Unlike your pc though they are at risk of dying while on the gallows. Try to equip low damage but high hit weapons to yourself and any allies who might join in on the beatdown. Give the gallows pet high PV armor in slots they can equip. For me when I've done they almost always shrug off the damage by the time I run out of stamina no problem even with mostly stone gear equipped.

I started as a Lich Executioner. Lich for the damage reduction (25-30%!), and executioner to have access to the flexible mechanic of extending HP through the mana bar (especially since lich has low base HP). So far so good; it's fairly tanky. Fun side note: an old lich can be older than the calendar; I was born in the year -2. I beelined the compost box, and now I'm selling fertilizer for income (1 flower + 1 branch -> hammer the flower to get a raw food leaf -> 40 makeshift food arrows -> 40 fertilizer -> 280 orens). This strategy also prevents ever starving, via hammering fertilizer to get soil-corpses if needed.

You actually shouldn't sell fertilizer "alchemical hammer" it to corpses and make bait for more food/money from fishing or use it as actual fertilizer to make grown food grow faster

I don't know if you notice, but someone just figured out that the mob card can be collected and they give bonus the more you have of a certain monster. I probably sold more than a hundred of the duplicate card thinking they were useless...

Fun fact: dont gamble for ether disease cure. Play the basketball game. Ignore the actual bucket. Aim to release as the black pixels under the avatars belt are almost disappearing and release. Took a bit of practice but rventually you can get it to where you are hitting the max 1k tokens per basket and can buy out the casino shop no problem.

I will say for the race reccomendation The Standard races(Races with few gimmicks) are: Yerles, Juere, Eulderna, Elea While everyone which arent listed falls into gimmick And of all the gimmick races, Fairy, Chaos Shape, Lich, Golem, Wraith and Demigod are what i would consider the hardest ones since you have to play in a specific way, they ARE really strong at what they do tho like Lich being strong Spellcaster while Wraith being the best Melee Classes and also decent Spellblades but they gain the LEAST stat growth benefit from eating unless they are ridicilously hungry, Fairy being super dodge tank that resist everything but you have to exclusively wear light equipments(Which actually become a issue if you play Melee Weapons that isnt Martial since they get benefit from their weapons be Heavier), Golem is hyper Tank that is super slow, Chaos Shape lets you have more than 2 Rings or 4 Arms as a Martial character but if you have more than 13 Equipment slot gives you speed and Charisma penalty, Demigod you want to stay Atheist first to gain the stat bonus before praying to other gods(Since they cant get punishment hex) and this is their problem, they only have high stats and their only feat is to gain benefit from every Gods easily Snail is for masochist, do this if you are insane As for classes You CAN eventually branch out to other classes, but there are some things i will consider mandatory to have for every class starting the game Get Weight Lifting skill if you arent playing races or class that start with it, i dont need to explain why you need it, its litteraly in the name As for Skills you eventually want to learn i will list the priority 1. Cooking: It lets you make better foods which = more stat growth and money 2. Anatomy: This synergize with the Cooking and the Faith skill, more Meat= More Cooking material and more chances to give Gods offering(Especially if said Gods have ridicilously hard favorite gift like Ehekatl who need Fish) 3. Fishing: this also synergize with Faith and Cooking, Faith specificly if you want Ehekatl as your God, Cooking for Stats, its also easy source of Money other than Farming and Ranching 4. Regeneration: This makes you not die 5. Blacksmith: You make stuff that lets you fight more consistently 6. Control Magic: You can finally use AOE Spells without accidently unaliving your allies 7. Negotiation: Cheaper prices at Shops and Services 8. Travel: Free EXP by just, traveling on the World Map 9. Lockpicking: You REALLY want to start being able to open high level chest, Dungeon Delving through Nefias can be your money maker because of this skill and Anatomy + Cooking

If youre really wanting to play as a gunner id reccomend playing cave start instead cause youll be closer to the vendor for the recipe for bullets ans ofc close to the gunsmith

Also I'd recommended first playthrough a the " farmer" class it looks basic but reducing stamina usage is great for those not sure about it and sometimes accidentally kill themselves

I'm not totally certain whether that stamina feat is a good choice for new players. Not because it's weak (quite the opposite is true) but because it makes it a bit more difficult to understand how stamina works in the game. What do you think?

I can't really recommend portrait mods because those highly depend on personal preference, but my favorite is probably PortraitReplacement by TTTao! as for gameplay mods literally the only ones I use are KK infinite stethoscope and quest timer for convenience, oh and free lay on hands so my fox maid can use it

I think there are few factors that play a role but I certainly haven't tested it in great depth. Firstly, you might want to 'unlock' these trash containers and specify that these should only accept garbage. Secondly, strict anti-litter laws form the policy tab. Lastly, I usually keep one npc in the main base with a job/hobby - chores (so they are basically a cleaner). Some of these might be redundant but that's what I currently utilise.

Yes, when you attack in melee you use the equipped Weapons not the tools. For dual wielding you want to train a lot the skill and weapon type to offset the hit penalty

I'm relatively new to the game, but from a few reddit posts, the pets you can choose are more restricted on equipment, but have better stat progression apparently.
