Awesome job Elin 😀 i've never seen a one legged guy remove a 100 kilo engine before 😀 Looking forward to the next one. Have a nice summer.

All that with a broken leg and crutches!! Great job! I recall pulling the TR6 trans from inside the car....not easy when I was in my mid 30's!

That was great ! And you did all that work with your leg in that hard cast ! Unbelievable !

I am impressed by your work ethic Elin. I work with people who call out sick because their big toe hurts, never mind having a broken leg.

I know, right :) Well, I spent a week home after the surgery and that was enough. I started going to work every day and working in my garage as well right after that.

Wow that went easier than I expected. Last engine I pulled was a Big Block Chevy out of my 69 Chevelle but I had a lot more room to play with!

Tush gives you beer when helping him out and you give him diet coke, which doesn't seem right.

He doesn't work when I give him beer :)

Great job on the one good leg and some help from the other leg. You will be in good shape on the left side of your body when all this is done. Take care.

If a guy with one good foot can remove an engine, I am confident that I can! Thanks!

It looks like one problems leads to another....looking forward to the Part 7.

Isn't it always like that? That is why I am afraid to start a repair, because I don't know where to stop. The deeper you go the more the issues and at some point you just have to say "That's it, I am just going to ignore that..." Otherwise you end up with a ground up restoration.

Yup, gona pull the engine, better get the seats out first, obviously someone who has done this before, nice to watch the expertise.
@RichardHeadGaming3 жыл бұрын
You are doing the floor panel as a matter of convenience, Ford trucks you pull the seats to remove an engine because, well first step is pulling the cab.
@michaelreilly1310esq3 жыл бұрын
I never saw the engine pulled out in this manner, nicely done. The early cars had a drain cock on the radiator but I guess cost cutting eliminated it to pay for those awful rubber bumpers, LOL

I've done it before on a TR4. I wasn't sure it was gonna work with this bigger engine, but it was worth trying. I wouldn't do it this way if my leg wasn't broken

I think engine bay should cleaned now, without the engine and A little bit paint here and there, so it looks a little bit better under the hood.
@RustyBeauties3 жыл бұрын
I know, that is the right thing to do, but where do I stop? Once the engine bay is clean the frame will need to be taken care of as well.... Then the suspension parts will look awkward so they will need to be cleaned up and painted.... One thing leads to another and before we know it will turn into a ground up restoration. So I have to stop somewhere and it is up to the owner to tell decide where. We are spending his money here :)

How much longer in the leg brace Elin?
@RustyBeauties3 жыл бұрын
Not sure, they will check it in two weeks again and make a decision. I am hoping to get a permission to start putting weight on it.

Nice work! Typical British design... build the same car for years and keep all of the annoying features!!!
