Cara quer saber mais que o Belchior, próprio autor da música. Essa música é um protesto engasgado de um povo que viveu sob um regime militar. Uma juventude cheia de vida e sonho pela frente que enfrentava a dura realidade brasileira na época, assistindo toda essa promessa morrer depois de tanta luta e por tanto o que fizeram pelo povo até o regime, e que dali em diante viveriam como seus pais viveram, pois a ditadura apagou qualquer chama de mudança. Linda música e linda performance da Elis. Belchior deveria ter um pedestal no que se refere à resistência à ditadura pela via artística, ajudando a criar mentes pensantes, um verdadeiro guerreiro. Mas hoje temos como símbolo dessa luta Caetano e Chico. Nem se compara ao que viveu Belchior. Salve Belchior!!!!

A questão é que pra se ter uma boa tradução, é preciso se ter uma boa compreensão do texto, principalmente em se tratando de poesia, cheio de figuras de linguagem, metáforas, frases incompletas, História de um lugar, de um tempo e que precisa no mínimo pesquisar etc. As vezes, quando estou vendo um filme legendado mais cult, por exemplo, consigo entender melhor o que cara tá falando na língua dele que na minha, mesmo com meu inglês tupiniquim.

She died with 36 years old, in 1982, due to an overdose of cocaine and alcohol. This song (Como Nossos Pais, or Like Our Parents, in English) was written in 1976 by Belchior, a great Brazilian composer. Belchior demonstrates in this composition his disappointment with his generation.
