I seem to remember him trying to pick up Eliysa. Then when he showed up to the restaurant to meet her, she was with other people. He immediately went into fantasy football mode and “had” to leave to get his picks in. Only thing that surprised me was that he didn’t stay to mooch a meal off people at the table.

@@hermitgreenn I hadn't noticed a lot of reads. I can see the frustration. Channels I know who do a ton of ad reads or reads every superchat when they get a ton. Like Nick Rekeita. I wait to watch. That way I can fast forward. Same with Joe Rogan. Always skip the first 8 min.

I wonder if John never left stern , would he still be on the show? What salary would he be earning today? I remember once his salary including his benefits package was around 68 thousand back in the early 90’s - Which wasn’t bad back then, and Howards Agent took him as a client- I don’t blame him for taking Leno money but sheesh what happened to the money ? He earned 5 million dollars in 10 years with Leno? Is there No IRA? No mutual funds ,,, nothing?

I don't think taking Leno is a bad idea I just think he's so on talented there was nothing to do with him. I mean that was amazing money at one point he was making 20 grand a year for a really long time. So the Leno money was a great step for his career but he's really just that on talented what the hell are you going to do with them. He's not an actor he's terrible at stand up he's not a good interviewer and not to beat a dead horse he really is a complete alcoholic he makes an asshole out of himself on his podcast I don't watch his show but I watch who are these podcasts and the uncle rico show that just shows clips and those are almost unwatchable just in clip format

John's stand-up career doesn't exist partly because he just never cultivated a fanbase for it. The other part is his utter lack of comedic ability, but for now I'll focus on his laziness. He didn't grind it out in the clubs for years on end, working new material or properly touring the country. He's never put out a special and he aggressively blocks any attempt to put his comedy online, which is utter insanity in the social media age. Instead John has sat back and just waited for the remaining dregs of his Stern fame to draw in bookings. And since that doesn't work anymore (if it ever did) he can't handle the fact that nobody likes him or thinks he's funny. I have a theory that the reason he has been recycling the same lame material for decades now is that he knows that nobody has ever gone to see him twice.
