I know you get a lot of suggestions from all of us, but I thought I would offer yet another in case it could bring some cheer until you get your skylights installed. The very large leaning mirror in your dining room…what if you relocated it to the back wall for now so that it can reflect the large window opposite that wall and bring in light and the effect of the outdoors? Just a thought…do not feel obligated to try it or like it. 😁

Excellent comment, I too thought it would be a better reflection instead of the kitchen; and reflect the living area and outdoor area. I myself do not like skylights. One of my homes came with skylights in the living area and bathroom ceiling. I would rather have large lamps to add lighting and cosy atmosphere when dining. Perhaps a long console low cabinet where the mirror is now with a large lamp; and myself I would not paint that table, but perhaps different chairs that area actual dining chairs.

I Agree🙋🏼‍♀️the large floor mirror placed strategically on the wall opposite the picture window could actually be like adding another sunny picture window in the dining room! It’s worth a try maybe with some lush plants around the mirror reflecting the window & outdoors…it might be a grand illusion!🪴🖼️☀️

Did it to sell our home of 30 years, never put it on the market, people showed up at my door, said they loved the house, if we ever wanted to sell, keep them in mind. Lololol sold it that day. I love skylights!! Be sure to reseal them every year...the sealant breaks down and when they leak it's a mess. Probably could do it every other year, but I would not take the chance.(no matter what anyone tells you) So excited for you! I bet they will be beautiful! ❤️

I am in a similar situation with my apartment management. I have not been happy living here with the way I have been treated and it grows worse as time goes on. On one hand, I don't want to move because I have my apartment almost the way I want it and I hate moving, BUT it is a toxic relationship with management and it will only get worse as time goes on so I have my feelers out looking for a better living situation and if you aren't happy, you need to take command of your life and make the changes. You need to do what is best for you. Hugs!

I rented out space for my shop of many years selling unique batik clothing we made in Bali with the artisans….and the various times I moved the shop always found amazing spaces & kept one thing in mind when looking for just the right location…..that it was accessible for customers and set in with other shopkeepers who could be compatible with the shop….wonderful to have independent artisans nearby….energizing & uplifting & created a great ambiance for everyone!

Also one mirror above the fireplace would look better and please please put that gold floral chair in your dressing room it is not a sitting room chair.
