David, that is simple. The prophets of baal were dependent upon the monarch for their sustenance, and the monarch was angered by the exposure of her servants as foolish people. She therefore put out a decree against the true prophet, and he fled for his life. But he was protected by YHWH, and he survived the evil doers. In fact he went up and yet is not dead, but rather a totally perfect man who conquered all of his fears and lower self. Eliyahu will testify at the final judgment and justice will be done for all.

I can be persuaded to agree with all these spiritualistic and highly metaphorical interpretations, since any literal interpretation is untenable on the face of reason. However, I see a pattern of advocating a blind submission to a very needy God who always wants, desires, needs, demands, expects, craves (even drools over) and consumes our obedience, service and even love with no regard whatsoever for our own desires or aspirations. I don't see an iota of reasonable questioning of this overly-zealous God who seems to be concerned only with himself and his desires at our expense. Any thoughts?

So why would you need a Moshiach, surely if the power is in our own souls to know our Creator, a Moshiach would not be needed. Where is the problem, unbelief, self control, or somewhere else. Well we know the way of the world, but it is the way that leads to destruction, so would a Moshiach stop this rampant destruction of our G-d given home, as you know G-d could do that, but could that sort of power be given to a modern human individual who could not be corrupted by it. Not my words, but the words of the witnessed evidence, did not G-d call Israel His son, but what did Israel do to be dissapated from the Northern Kingdom.... And what do most worldly people do, in regard to objects.... They certainly didn't/don't worship G-d, and no other. Enough said. Lehitraot.
