The first time this happened to me I was terrified. I'd never heard of such a thing so tumbling out of hyperspace was a bit unusual.

The sound design in this game is so amazing. I've been watching a lot of videos of the game and the genre and theme is something i do find very intriguing. I think i'm gonna have to get myself a joystick and throttle and jump in myself!

It's a fun game weather or not you like fighting, exploring or simply trading. The graphics are impressive, as is the sound. I suggest Obsidian Ant's videos, he gives you a pretty good idea on whats going on with the game and he does a ton of videos.

when i saw this video for the first time i was instantly interested in playing the game for myself. here i am today, years later, having amassed over 400 played hours, with a considerable amount of mining done, players fought, thargoids killed and systems discovered. thanks for posting this, you made me discover one of my favorite games of all time.

errrr ... it was (originally a single player game that came out in 1984) and there was (an ability to fly a thargoid ship in Oolite, a fan-based remake of the original)

@@c.j.dingus1261 It is random and unexpected things which makes me laugh. The fact that the player is looking at the thargoid with their disabled ship, not knowing what they want, and being completely dead in the water... But first: Screenshot! It just felt so random and out of place. :D

capitol class ships like cariers and mega ships use the same technology the thargoids use for hyperspace travel. Normal ships that players fly use as similar technology but is downscaled.

I've traveled across the galaxy and back in this game, dropped into some incredibly scary systems, and THIS is the scariest thing in the game to me. I have managed to avoid this happening so far, luckily!

Weird enough pulsars and black holes scare the shit out of me in this game. Black holes don’t even do much of anything but it still freaks me out
