I bought the farm sim side panel and its a great tool . also bought a second set of thrustmaster joysticks for alt flying modes using it with a second acount a perfect combination when recreating an actual sim experience , ideal for mining or , exploration or other activities one needs to use scanners. and still have basic flight

I've been looking at getting a button box and it just popped into my head i wonder if this would work. And so i found your video thank you so much. You say its expensive but if you look at button boxes with this amount of buttons then it's not that bad. And it's a good build quality as well. I think I'm going to buy it. Thanks again

Glad I could help you - and yes dedicated button boxes are stupidly expensive, I know. This thing is a good alternative, but please note that the built quality isn't that good, the buttons do feel a little cheap, but I have no problem with it, but if you can try it out before you buy it I would recommend it to make sure you like it!

controller was originally made for farming simulator by saitek, which meanwhile got bought by logitech. although they dont seem to be branded, recent models are logitech for sure, and older ones are saitek. also has a stearing wheel, but many have said its construction is below standards of both brands, and not worth the price for the quality. side panel however has been an adition to many players who already have a stearing wheel, either for farming sim or other games.

@@CMDR.Gonzo.von.Richthofen Yes, it's analog, it even has 2 sets of 3 axes, with a toggle button to switch between them.

its late, but yes, the spinning wheel is not analog however, its like a mouse scrollwheel. In a way roundabout way its a 6 axis, the right button on the stick toggles it to use other axises. if toggled on it uses a totally diffrent set of axises as far as the computer is concerned.

Take for example this page www.apexsimracing.com/collections/button-boxes-1 this is usually what they do nothing more (and you can see the price range). On the other hand you can pimp out the Farm Sim Side panel atleast the looks of it to not feel cheap

Logitech bought Saitek a while ago, but they still market this under Saitek name. I don't think they've improved the quality either. Some people have had problems, but it won't stop me eventually getting one for my sim games !!

Someone on Amazon wrote that when he called Logitech about faulty buttons (the old panel version) they e-mailed him to actually destroy the panel and he got the updated version which, as he said, had better quality. I'm still unsure about all of this though, currently looking around to find out more. I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if that worked. Although finding the right button by hand in VR might be challenging... without seeing it?

@@viennagamer1683 it wouldn't take long to get the muscle memory for finding the buttons. You could also make a few raised bits round certain buttons to get your barings on the board, if you get what i mean .

i just stumbled on this device today and immediately wanted it for elite. i was thinking of using the joystick for my thrusters. what do you have it mapped to?

I think I'll get one of these. I use a X52 Pro and I find that when in space, trying to find a system to jump to quickly is a real hassle. It's not the sort of thing you want to fumble with in open play. Hopefully, this side panel should sort it.

I find it incredibly immersive if you have any kind of cockpit to put it in, and it works perfectly for me. Can only recommend it! Also awesome that it just works out of the box, no problems at all - I was NOT expecting that, honestly.

Just to help you solve a mystery: Logitech buyed Saitek recently, so Saitek will produce now onder Logitech's name... Just ordered this one too for my ETS 2. ;-)

Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks for clearing that up for me! Still a bit strange they haven't put the Logitech Logo on there somewhere:) Hope Euro Truck Simulator 2 supports this as good as Elite Dangerous did! But I don't think it'll be a problem:)

Seeing some reviews, there is no any problem. Even posible to use together with every steering wheel. And, the multi axle joystick can be used as a manual shifter too. I can't wait the delivery... :-D

Don't know for sure, but I've heard a lot of reports that it is for desktop only and won't work on any platform but PC and Mac.
