Python or Krait mk II are better choices for hauling, imo. They hold almost as much and not only are medium sized ships, but they also have better maneuverability to avoid interdictions and better weapon loadouts to fend off stuff that attacks you anyway.

@@dragonwithamonocle But also cost way more credits. A fully equipped Type-7 will only cost you 25 million which is fairly affordable for aspiring traders, you'll pay double that amount just to get a stock Python or Krait MkII. Fully outfitted they probably cost 3 or 4 times more. The Type-7 is a great trading ship for its price, if you find a trade route that offers 7 million profit per route (which was the only trade route I used, so I don't know if that's above or below average), you'll start making money after the 4th trade already.

Thats why you should keep your ASP Explorer. Im doing manual landings, hint is always face dock number so you're in right direction. One extra tip. If you need money, go for mining. One diamond sells for about 1M and its easy to fill your cargo with them. Mining setup doesnt cost that much(two beams, rafinery, collectors limpet, prospector limpet and detailed surface scanner is all you need) and you could make money for your clipper in one run and way more. Laser mining is way faster than deepcore(which you need to find first and thats not easy at all), but that BOOOM! effect is simply cool. Unless you want to do Void Opals and do just diamonds, lasers are better choice.

I must admit to a substandard imagination but I have a few thoughts on why the ship must face a certain direction upon landing...Maybe ships are standardized such that certain fittings and connections are all on the same side of all the ships. And in the interest of saving mass on ships and stations, these fittings and connections can only be matched up when the ship of whatever size or type is pointed in the correct direction because they are not duplicated on the opposite side. I can see where maybe all electrical type hookups are in a standardized electrical manifold on the Port side while all plumbing type hookups are in a standardized plumbing manifold on the Starboard side, or visa versa.

Jingles, a good ship for the farming is the Hauler. it is for small/med landing pads and its jump range is pretty efficient for how low of a cost it is.

As soon as you arrived and looked at the system panel, I said to myself: "Oh no..." Large ships can be a hassle xD

38:30 also u can look for angled barrier with arrows which should be at your back, or holographic bay number which should be in front of your ship

I got this game because of the vid you put up a few weeks ago and I'm hooked. Still haven't figured out what to mine for the best price yet so I'm looking forward to the next vid.

Low Temperature Diamonds in the Borann system, planet A2, there are 3 overlapping Low Temp Diamond hotspots. Use eddb.io website to find the best place to sell. One run in my Krait II earned me well over 150 mil.

Even better, use edtools.ddns.net/miner

Haven't played in a while now. For a long time I flew the Type 6 with max cargo capacity. No shields or docking computer. Not even any weapons on board to lighten the thing. (I have never used or even tried a docking computer) The type 6 has a quite decent jump range. I used it to trade rares mostly. Then I moved up to the Asp. Very versatile. It can be a trader, an explorer, a miner or a fighter, or anywhere inbetween, depending on your load out. Last I played I was in a Python. But I didn't have it fully upgraded yet, or have any engineering done to it (that's quite a grind). I set myself the goal to get permits for as many systems you need a permit for. Last I played I was turning towards the imperial permit systems, but I haven't done a lot for that yet.
