Just to clearify, from the "research" I did myself... Flying into the Plaedies sector and looking around for dem Thargoids- Which, obviously, most will know if they didn't get panic and tried to shoot it off the first time they met one... They're friendly to you... until you do literally anything to them that might possibly harm them. Now, there's 2 main categories of space faring ships we know of... The Thargoid Scouts, which are small nimble and incredible fast ships. Those will attack you at any point and will chase you till either your or their demise… or your escape. They are not friendly at any point. The Thargoid Interceptors, come in a couple variants, most you'll see will be the easier ones to kill. Rarely will you face a Hydra, the strongest of their bunch. Now, they will be friendly towards you until you attack… or they have scouts nearby, then they'll attack you, too. There's one type that'll run away from you should you get too close, possibly has no weapons on? Don't know that one. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You can scan them (with the xeno scanner). You can look at them from close. (to a certain extend) At a certain range they'll warn you by turning towards you and pulling out their... weapons? (they start glowing… kinda pulsating basically, looks very threatening tbh) If you keep close to them, they'll attack you. Now, Thargoids already in combat might attack you too, even if you haven't engaged them at first. I am not sure about Thargoids in the human bubble, they might be hostile towards you or ignore till you attack.

The extra scary thing about thargoids in E:D compared to the other two games. Even if you've done your guardian grind and have got good enough to take the Thargoids on you aren't fighting and coming perilously close to getting killed by Thargoid Motherships. That crash site with at least 3 human ships littering it that died taking it down, thats the Thargoids own equivalent of a player ship. There's alot of stupid shit they're not fixing. There's a really bad obvious mining problem with the chunks that you mine. When they're floating in space and not moving ready to be picked up, if they're too close to an asteroid, they don't bounce off the surface like you might think, they go straight through the surface of the asteroid and inside it where your limpits can't reach obviously and commit suicide trying to get to it. You just have to wait till the asteroid makes a full rotation till the chunk comes out of the surface. Pretty stupid. Not sure why that hasn't been fixed or made it this far without being noticed.

Now, imagine you get your audience from doing world of tanks/warships videos. That's what the majority of your viewers & you have to produce that content or lose views. @jamielonsdale30184 жыл бұрын
Only if you were 4/3 of the distance from the Event Horizon, exactly, and looking at exactly the right angle. Light orbiting the black hole is extremely unstable. It either wants to fall into the black hole or fly away from it into infinity. Only light approaching at the right distance and angle will actually get trapped and orbit. If you're at the range you can see light orbiting, you're well inside the Roche limit of the black hole, and you're not going to be observing anything, because the black hole will be in the middle of tearing you to pieces. Photons not having mass allows them to get significantly closer to the black hole than even an electron could get, let alone the bundles of protons and neutrons that make up the atoms that make up you.

@@eliasvenaas1685 Put it this way, light has fixed, unchangeable velocity. For that light to orbit the black hole in a stable manner, the light must not cross the threshold where forward and the future become the same thing. It also cannot orbit further out, because then the light would not 'bend' under the curvature of spacetime enough to complete a circle and pass through the same place, because spacetime further out is not curved steeply enough. Light ALWAYS travels at the same speed, and ALWAYS in a straight line. The only time that light seems to change direction are A) When it bounces off something, and B) when the medium in which its travelling is curved, such that following the curvature in linear fashion makes it appear to curve. This is basically how everything behaves without the presence of an external force acting on it. An object in motion will remain in motion, until something acts upon it. If the medium it is motive within is curved, then that linear line will follow the curvature of said medium. In this case, the medium is spacetime itself. Yeah, I didn't make this any easier to understand, did I?

The first experimental verification of Einstein's Theory of General Relativity was to observe stars around the the sun during a solar eclipse and see how their positions are distorted according to gravitational lensing effect as predicted by Relativity. The effect for the sun is quite minor compare to a dark hole, of course, but the principle is exactly the same as you described.

Also you went to Maia because Palin used to be in Maia, but late in 2019/early in 2020 his base was attacked by Thargoids and he moved to Arque. You can still find his base in Maia and dock at it but all the services are offline. There is a beacon announcing the evacuation order and if you dive into the canyon just under the beacon his base is right down there. Also, yes it is a regular thing in that neck of the woods IF and only IF you have picked up Thargoid Sensors/Containers ever. If you've never picked one up ever you can zip around there all you want and the Thargoids will never grab you. They are grabbing you because they can tell you did pick up their stuff and they are scanning you to see if you still have it. It doesn't matter if you've ever grabbed a Thargoid Heart, it's only the sensors and other bits you can find on the ground that they seem interested in. I've literally killed tens of Interceptor variants, the type that are snatching you out of space, and thousands of scouts, the tiny ones that attack you on sight, and never been hyperdicted in around 4500 or so hours in game time. I spend a ton of time in that region of space as well. We tested this alongside the AXI a while back and if you grab the sensor and spit it out then jump you'll be hit many times, but if you have a "virgin" account that has never touched a sensor you never get grabbed. Not sure why that is the trigger but it is. Interesting to watch Elite content through a new players eyes though. Always interesting to see new people getting into the game and discovering the lore and enjoying the fun times.

First time being hyperdicted by Thargoids, eh Jingles? Here is a tip I use. Hyperdictions are always random in the Pleiades sector no matter what ship you’re using. When you are pulled out bring your ship to a complete stop and let the Thargoid shutdown field happen. So long as you aren’t carrying anything they would get mad at they will leave you alone. Plus, it preserves the integrity of your modules for the most part. Every frameshift malfunction I had after being hyperdicted always occurred as I tried to escape the shutdown field.

LOL, this title makes sense to me. The standard Australian Hospital Code - Brown Alert is for an external threat/disaster.

I think they are possibly picking up on the radiation, emissions from the crashed ship that your SRV got exposed to, pulling you 'dicting you to check you aren't a grave robber, then letting you go

Jingles; yes, light is often reflected of surfaces but it can also be emitted from surfaces. Take a regular sun, for instance. Or your computer monitor. Or a light bulb.

Hi Jingles, yes, tinkering with Thargoid stuff will make you fair game for hyperdictions. And yes, Palin _used_ to be based in Maia, but vacated in something of a hurry after a Thargoid strike destroyed his lab there.

First contact with the Thargoids? Didn't I see some slightly lopsided interaction with them a few videos back in the same series?

yesterday I saw a vid. I think it was a dolphin or an orca. She got hyperdicted, scanned and when energy was back she gave an angry throttle and bumped right into the thargoid interceptor. Then she was like .... oups, sorry .... I didn't meant it that way and and shot a repair limpet on the thargoid and system info said the limpet was successful. Thargoid was not agressive but always tried to keep a 490 m distance to avoid another bump. ;-) Nevertheless she cuddled with it. :D Thargoid then always tried to position infront of her nose. She hyperjumped through it .... bwahaha. Can't find the vid, but the way she made conversation with the thargoid was hilarious ....

If you like long jump range, the Guardian FSD Booster is desirable. It does take up an internal slot, yet it gives a real boost to range.

Treat level 7 is a HYDRA or MEDUSA class!Glad you didn't check that signal source.I guess the one that pulled you from supercruize was treat level 5 CYCLOPS class, but it looks more like a SCOUT class or the more annoying class.Scouts are more prone to pull you from supercruize and scan you which sets their A.I. to passive aggressive state.
