ED is a incredibly beautiful game. I have been playing it on/off for 3+ years now and it's truly a wonderful experience. I am a day one No Man's Sky player and while it's also a beautiful game and experience, ED really does the capture realistic exploration physics well. Videos like this really are a joy to watch.

Happy to see a fellow NMS player appreciating what Elite Dangerous does so well. A true space sim in our very own fairly accurate Milky Way galaxy. One tip I have for anyone wanting to play ED is to invest in a HOTAS or stick and throttle for you PS4 or PC. It elevates the experience a tremendous amount and is worth every penny! Good times ahead for both NMS and ED! EDIT: Oh and dont sleep on the ED lore! Theres a ton of really good lore that isnt shoved in your face.

Very good video. It's important with games like _Elite Dangerous_ to have those moments where one can be positive about the experience to counterweight the not-so-positive stuff (much of it justified too). Same goes for _No Man's Sky_ and undoubtedly many other titles of that sort.

Introducing a range of SRVs such as with increased virtual weight for low gravity planets, increased yields and cargo capacity, longer 'flights' with better control etc. would add hugely to gameplay and exploration and open up a new world in terms of possible mods. Any ideas why this seemingly easy change has not happened? Surely they would take a fraction of the time/programming etc. compared with more ambitious changes while delivering a great deal.

planetary tech is the main fo us of the next major update. The confirmed or upcoming changes will be light atmospheres, improved generation (I believe they will introduce rocks and maybe other overhangs) they have also been workong on icy planets for a few years now.

@CheeseFromOuterSpace4 жыл бұрын
I didn't try getting close to one myself, but from what iv'e heard and seen on youtube is that you have to really try and get extremely close to start taking heat damage. Neutron stars and especially white dwarves seem much more dangerous
@goldfinger-99924 жыл бұрын
Brandon T. You’ll drop into normal space the same as if you’ve flown too close to a star or inhabited world. You may take some heat damage but I’ve only taken minor damage and I’ve dropped into 20 + black holes. You’ve more chance of heat damage charging up your fsd to fly away (make sure the black hole is directly behind you). Enjoy the light show o7.
@themechanist78754 жыл бұрын
They are not as dangerous as you'd think. If you get too close to a black hole you'll hit the exculsion zone and be dropped out of supercruise and take like 1% of hull damage. Only when your FSD is charging to go back into supercruise heat level starts rising fast and you'll need to deploy a heatsink to counter it. Same goes for neutron stars and white dwarves UNLESS you are unlucky enough to drop out of supercruise while inside of the gamma ray cone. If that happens you are pretty much dead so be extra cautious around these :)
