Elite Ground Builds - Engineer Edition - Star Trek Online

In this video i go over my ground build for my engineer character, this video goes over what i am running alternates if you want to try something different, where everything is coming from and most importantly how the build is supposed to be played.
Engineers are generally the better options for ground combat in Star Trek Online, Tactical captains in the last few years have gained some power with mudds and ambush combination to level the playing field in some situation.

I do quite fancy my Jemmy Vanguard Engineer toon for ground. Also gave him the Shaxs cannon. But i built him as a drone and turret summoner plus Anchor of Gre'thor and Sabotage for control. He's a beast, extremely tough and survivable especially potent defensively. Thinking about swapping something out for the new Devouring Nanite Cloud kit module for even more survivability and mobile damage.

Traits: Go for whatever KPerf you can get. The same rules will apply to all ground builds. Space Explorer is a great gig Shadow of the Black Mountain Creative Upgraded Gear Serenity It's always worth getting Hive Mind when grouping. Everyone that has it buffs everyone else. Field Technician will be standard as well. For science specifically, consider the following traits: Agony Modulator Field Researcher Risian Kit with KPerf x3 rules all. Kit Modules: Mudd's Time Device Endothermic/Exothermic induction field (mutually exclusive I think) Neutronic Radiation Cold Fusion Flash Anti-time entanglement Field Paradox Bomb Your weapons and armor are to taste, but as always, Burnhams armor/EV suit and Nakhul weapon and shield will be top shelf. If you want to get saucy, you can't go wrong with a cryomancer build, subbing in the Breen Cryoshaper set from the winter event, which meshes well with the cold damage you're already doing with cold fusion and endothermic modules.

With Engineer, Anchor of Grethor and Chroniton mines will do pretty much all the work. I wouldn't run any ground build without Mudd's Time Device though. The "oops" cheat death effect and recharge to kit modules is too good. After those kits, do whatever you want, really. I dropped Ba'ul. It's capable of crazy damage, but takes more setup than I care for. I used to be into bunker modules, but it similarly takes too long to set up for too little payoff. The 2399 Federation Phaser Rifle secondary becomes a monster if you use Covert Assault Drone, and it's a decent alternative if you don't have the Section 31 rifle, even if the primary fire mode is complete ass. Soong/Explosive drones are also a solid option. Personal transporter or Folded Space transporter are good "just for kicks" modules, and I really like Sabotage for large groups of mods. Basically, while Tac is the meta in space, Engineer's have tools for everything, and I enjoy ground content the most on them. I even miss EPS/Miraculous Repairs when not playing Engineering captains in space. Science is a good runner up on ground, since they're walking clouds of AoE death.

If you use keybinds then use sabotage with anchor of grethor at the same time. Or eith sompek lightning. Powerful stuff

I actually enjoyed playing engineer as a klingon. Wearing the reputation gear and summoning drones is an awesome feeling

Engineers have the best ground builds so varied in play style. You can have a static turret build, or a mine build or a fairly mobile drone build with lots of pets. I have been drawn to the drone style build which is build around the DOT-23 (Eng) Kit module and having Blade beetle mines , Watcher Robots and Expolsive Soong drones. Having your Engineer being followed by 10 to 17 drones all doing damage some ranged and close up and with the DOT-23 (Eng) special ablity when you use a kit midule to summon a pet is grants all mechanic pets Overcharge, each doing a potential of 117 dps for 7 secs on top of their normal damage.

Have you or are you going to show a Fed, Tac, human, elite build? That is what my main toon build it, and half of what you had slotted on this toon, I never heard of. Not the weapons but in the trait area.

I would say Pakled is probably the second. They get a 4% crit chance increase just for being dumb. 😂

I named my Pakled MENSA & he is pretty good on the ground, but he also pilots a Parliament so he can't win all the time.

Where do you actually get the Anchor of Grethor, from? What mission is it a reward? Also where do you get the Dab emote from?

its description says heavy assault beam weapon and its melee attack is called Assault Gun Sweep so its probably safe to say its classed as an assault weapon in game.

For your Anchor Mine Build, why Bombardier over Dulce et Decorum Est? Same %, but all damage instead of limiting to Kinetic. I don't have a Jem Hadar. Does deploying mines break the stealth status?

The honest answer is not really sure, but this is a altered version of my dos build which is basically mostly mine damage which you don’t want to lose the bonuses for, but for everyday content run dulce If you have it

I was of the understanding that dulce boosts mines as well. Or does all damage and the individual kinetic damage boost the mines differently?

Sorry, I’ll admit it slipped my mind and i forgot to write it down on my video list, I’ll give you my thoughts but i will do the video, so basically same as your captain you will want a control so either paradax bomb from temporal specialization or anchor of grethor for engineers, scis will probably run nanite health monitor for a smart heal to the team, tacs can run rally cry or maybe over watch and but basically the way that is do it is have your bridge officers be a controlling healing buffing team that keep you alive and group everything up for you
