Really nice message thank you, and you’re right. When I was playing I’d search for this information but it was ALL click bait. As it’s a complex topic no body had actually sat down and put in the years of analysis and systemisation. In all of those videos people are basically guessing and longing out videos to get more revenue. Although these videos get well less views the people who watch them seem to be at more bought in and it’s nice the community of like minded ballers were creating 🙌🏼❤️

Solid gold half hour of content. I really like the coverage of the "stretched touch". The dribble to me is like an individual version of a team possession blueprint. i.e a sequence of short passes to draw the pressure and then a sudden often longer more unpredictable pass to break the press. The dribbler, of course, does this moving forwards, and with touches rather than passes, and chops rather than turns, but the sequence of varying the touch and mixing the predictable with the unpredictable has the same unsettling effect on those out of possession.
@chasingmypotential9 ай бұрын
Great perspective ! This is exactly right ! It’s all about that unpredictability. Which again always ties into the psychology of the opposition

Great video, just wanted to ask one request and share a little of my story along the way. Growing up i wasnt interested in football, however living in england meant it was everywhere, whether it be playing it in pe or at lunch with friends. All i would do is sit near the goal and tackle players coming at it, this led to me developing great defending skills (im the jockeying patient defender). But recently at the age of 17 ive come to really love the game of football and more specifically, i LOVE DRIBBLING. As i haven't played nearly enough to even be that good, my dribbling isnt that good but ive shown glimpses of good dribbling when im in "the zone" through dribbling past 1-2 defenders and then passing for a goal. Obviously i cant go pro as its too late for me but i really love the sport and even being a defender all my life i want to switch up my game and really become more. So my request is for now i cant buy the courses, not even owning a bank account but in the future i will for sure do it so i ask can you please keep the courses up even years from now. Thank you for all the informative and free content you do, this channel has the greatest ever advice and videos a footballer can have access to

Also, at 15:54 I would point at a clue that’s noticeable, too: that the delay works perfect because Messi waits until all of the defender’s weight is transferred/on its way to his front foot, meaning there’s generally no way of stopping that process and that therefore, the back foot can be exploited

I'll be real, as a defender, I was analysing the defenders who got ripped a new one (all of them) and they were WAY too impatient and super reactive. They didn't force the dribbler to come to them, they went to the dribbler, allowing them to just touch it against their momentum and they're gone.

Thank you very happy this video helped ! Breaking down your game into: dribbling, passing, finishing, movement, defending and de coding the knowledge gaps you have in those both technically and mentally. For example, there are many good dribblers with great technique but they don’t have dribbling iq. The first step is the self awareness so you can train as effectively as possible. What would you say your main knowledge gaps are ?

Hey it's me the guy who liked ur hazard vid a bit too much brings me joy to see that others have thought out this kind of similar stuff to what i used to work on before Well not really similar but i feel we both have same goal - to bring the chaos of football to intro a systematic theory that produces predictable results. mY frame work's on dribbling as well, but more... macro. This one feels micro, the nitty gritty small details of every 1v1. IDk if this will work for everyone, but it has helped me a lot and I'd like ur thoughts on it as well. My methods based mostly on awareness, as a center midfield role, with the main goal of either driving the ball into a more dangerous space, or passing it to a more dangerous place. Assuming the ball is far away from me, i always scan for 2 - 3 teammates (usually ahead of me in the winger position). i just look towarfds the flank since they're easier to pick out there and when everyeon's wearing a different coloured jersey it takes wayyy too much brain processing power to comprehend where tf everyone is so i just look at 2 or three common places. once i've LOOKED there i dont put any attention on them for the next few moments, my mind kind of instinctly kinda.... knows they're gonna be there so it's not worth putting more attention to it at the time. All attention now goes towards what would happen when i receive the ball. Instead of looking at the opponents around me or pressing me which would take too much prcessing power and time i just imagine an arrow stabbing through the space i want. This 'arrow' continuously changes as the next few seconds pass but the plan is when i get the ball i immediately drive there. Having decided on where to go beforehand cuts out hte decision making time, receiving time, and just makes u more efficient. I also have the habit of keeping my head up during dribbles and this is where my instincts help me now. If i feel the two teamates i scanned for before are free, i pass, if not, i drive towards where they are (most of the time, exceptions are found by my instincts where solo is needed). Best case scenario is the guy guarding teamates comes to me and teamates becomes free. There are some exceptions - like what happens if i take a bad touch and can't go in direction of arrow cause defender starts pressing from that direction? to these exceptions i just let instincts help me, and drive towards the newly opened space. The nitty gritty details u talked about here are like more natural to me now, and it's just nice to see that all the theories ive spent my time thikknign about have been somewhat crosschecked by professional like u. It feels like im not a crazy loner nut. I haven't checked out on ur courses, but just to take a guess im thinking u beat the patient defender who jockeys with baiting mostly. Fake shots near d box area or fake passes are the best for this imo. as for dribbling skills the best ones are croqeueta, feint, fake shot, v drag. (maybe roulette if you're fancy). you'll never need anything outside these four. Anywas this is a very condensed version of what ive thought about, and it would take too much time to type it all out, but yeah this the gist.
@chasingmypotential9 ай бұрын
The outside chop is one vital one you’re missing in this list ! One of the most deadly ones, id need more a video to understand your philosophy towards it as I’m a visual learner it’s hard to understand only reading ( hence why I make visual analysis ) It sounds like you’ve thought about it a lot !

@chasingmypotential9 ай бұрын
This is a new frame work so I wouldn’t say pros think about all of this stuff, if they did we’d see more dribblers in the game. But as time goes on I’m getting contacted more and more and this frame work is reaching more and more players, even in the top leagues which is great to see. Spitting the cues and triggers will be party conscious but mainly subconscious. The more you do effective training, the more it will become instinctual and that the whole point of training, for it to become instinctual

I love the dribbling videos that you produce, but no technique is ever perfect is it? Everything has a weakness. As a defender, how do I deal with attackers that are aware of this info? I'd love to see a video on that

Interestingly ive had a lot of defenders also buy the course to be aware of how a good attacker will think, ultimately that’s the first step, knowing what dangers each scenario presents to you so you can be aware of
