Great move and executed with great skill. the videos in this channel have really inspired me to work on my game as well as conditioning my body for optimum use. - Please give a SHOT OUT to #3 on the Torrance YMCA League videos. - He is by the far the most complete baller pound for pound that i've seen in a long time, so much that I'd like to ball against you someday! - Suggestions...Keep uploading YMCA games as they are entertaining to watch. - And thank you for the great editing and camera work, the skills here are evident! - God Bless !

Feel like most people carry the basketball when they do this move.

There is potential for a carry to be called. Just be mindful of placing your hand over the top or on the side you will be good.

Ball handling is quickly joining dunking as a skill distinct from actually playing B-Ball (i.e. having a high IQ for the game) I'm increasingly seeing great ball handlers and dunkers without the other requisite skills that comprise a well rounded player.
@QuicksandMindset3 ай бұрын
I see that trend too. However, mastering fundamentals like shooting, ball handling passing and footwork lays the foundation for understanding the game's strategies and building IQ. Imo It’s difficult to teach players IQ of the game who don’t have the skills necessary to perform on the court.
@kevingarris1983 ай бұрын
No argument here, skills are critical. But I made the observation just the other day that, by far, the best dunkers (but not players, are on youtube, not in the NBA)There's sometimes a danger of making the skill the goal, not integrating it into being a baller@@QuicksandMindset

@@kevingarris198 Agreed. Players in the U.S. should study Euroleague basketball. There is a great mix of skill and IQ from everyone on the court. It’s fun to watch that style of play. This is why Jokic and Luka are dominating the NBA. They are more skilled and think the game at higher levels than most NBA players. It also just so happens that they are not the most athletically gifted players.

which situation in a pick-up game should the ballers use float dribble?
@QuicksandMindset4 жыл бұрын
Desmond Li The float dribble is best used to size up a defender. Ex 1: if you float to the right and the defender does not shift over with you, then you can blow by. Ex 2: If you float to the right and the defender shifts over with you, you have the advantage because you have them on their heels and can immediately counter in the opposite direction. Ex 3: Kevin Durant is elite when it comes to the float pull-up. He can float either way, and if he gets the defender to backpedal he will quickly pull-up over the top. All in all, the float is great for reading the defense as you have the ability to take up a lot of space laterally with only one dribble

@@QuicksandMindsetHoops thank you for share the concept about the technic for me, boss, btw, I am an Asian who has the strong desire to improve my physical quality(become bigger) and taller so do you have the ways?
@QuicksandMindset4 жыл бұрын
Desmond Li No problem, check out some of my other content and let me know what you think. As far as getting bigger, it comes down to diet and weight lifting programs. I am not too knowledgeable on diet plans, but I know that you will more than likely need to consume more carbs and protein all thoughtout the day. When it comes to weights, having a program structured program that is centered around building muscle mass. Heavier weights, quality form, lower rep counts and 2-3 minute rest in between each set. 4-5 days a week is also ideal. As far as height goes, I wish I knew the secret. I am only 5’4 😂
