have one since 2000 i got it brand new off the dealer.... got 100,430 miles on it today. I have never had issues other than just get some new brakes other than that. Everything under the hood is in perfect condition. I only use her for long trips with the family.

The Ford Excursion is far, far from a "Soccer Mom Mobile". The Excursion is what dads who can afford a second truck buy so they have more interior room than their pickup truck does so they can take the whole family with them on "Excursions".

It's not for soccer moms, no. Too big, solid front axle, and generally handles like a big truck because it is. V10 weighs in at 7200 lbs. That's no soccer mom car.

@@Dunebashing88 It's G-wagons now and escalades. Excursions are just too "unrefined" for them. There is no real comparison between the Ex and 1/2 ton SUV's today. Ex is much more capable and still somehow bigger.
