GO N Have you actually tried the food? If not how would you know it is crap. Also we aren’t supposed to eat till we are full, it’s not as healthy. These guys also might not have ate breakfast or something. There’s many factors in it but still it was 18 courses and it definitely adds up.

a lot of people are being negative but in defense of fine dining, it's expensive for a reason. youre paying for -the ambiance -the quality of ingredients -the experienced staff -the planning/ brainstorming put into making a cohesive menu -the michelin stars and many more lets get it clear, you dont eat here only because youre hungry (unless youre rich), but because you want to have *an experience*. one that you will look fondly upon (that isn't the case for everyone) the menu of so many of these restaurants make me realize how much of the chef's passion is poured unto the food. art has many mediums, be it digital, in painting, drawing, music...in this case it's with food

It's because with so many courses that they have to work on, the tables are staggered to have maximum two seatings. Because the meal is usually 4-5 hours with that many courses, the tables come in 15 to 30 minutes apart to give the staff time to be fully prepared. At peak times the restaraunt is full but not early on or super late. Meals can run to 2 am at some establishments. So if you book at 5pm, it's probably pretty empty but by 8pm it's pretty full. Some places have multiple rooms to shuffle people in and out of as part of the experience and a sneaky way to pace the meal how the chef wants it, while still being a fun and immersive thing. Ie snack room, main course room, dessert patio

I watch a lot of food channels and I get what you guys are doing with your videos, but I have to say: even though I am a very curious foodie, I find hard to see meaning in a video like this with food presentation alone. The ingredients and combinations are so different from anything in the "real world" that nothing like this is appetizing since I can't begin to imagine the taste of any of this, and I figure this is true for 99.9% of KZbin. Reading the comments, I see the reaction of most people is the same: I would never pay that much or at all for something like that, I can't see the value in any of it. If you guys would actually eat it and tell us about it I would definetly subscribe to learn why you think this is worth it. But I guess if you are trying to be accessible only to the "elite", or just posting to register going there, then ok I guess.
