@@NostalgicGamerRickOShay How is it inaccurate? This was an individual who witness what happened to in France during the Bartholomew's Day massacre he really did not want the Catholic Church to gain power in England so was driven by Protestant zeal to counter Catholicism. Sure I doubt that he did some of the things in the movie but all in all it was a better portrayal than having a Black man as a British Lord like the crap movie from 2018 on Mary Queen of Scots.

And everything you need to know about the human nature side of politics. Norfolk only having "the conviction of your own vanity" was confirmed by his mistaken assertion that he was important enough in life to be made a martyr by the manner of his death, but Walsingham knows he'll be just another treasonous noble whose death will be of no consequence to the common people.

Problem with this scene is that Howard was actually a Protestant. Elizabeth had actually spared his life for his part in the Northern uprisings, but then it was clear he had to be executed for his part in the Ridolfi Plot. The only thing Norfolk was a martyr for was his own ambition.

@@TraciPeteyforlife lol you contradict yourself because your talking about him and he's a 1 main characters in this movies and any movie or TV series during these times . The Tudors died but dukes of Norfolk still are alive living better than they did , so I guess he won and Tudors lost . FYI he wasn't a protestant he was "raised as 1 " obviously as a child but it's fair to say to say him wishing to restore a catholic ruler to the throne makes him more catholic than protestant.

Such a great scene, although I wish this video showed just another half-second of it, so you could clearly see that Geoffrey Rush was literally stepping backwards into the shadows -- unfortunately the entire video clip is fading out at the same moment, so the cool directorial choice isn't apparent.
@cloudattack32793 жыл бұрын
Rush was superb as Walsingham. He put so much more into the script that was given him. Walsingham was the complete warrior. The movie portrayed him as a sexually immoral in the scene with Mary. I don’t believe he was that way, he had a healthy fear of God as every true protestant does. The Catholics were terrified of this man, and for very good reason. Blessed Elizabeth was untouchable with him flanking the throne.
