Elizabeth Coppin and the over 20,000 children who were horribly abused, were literally slaves, please, please believe me that I cry for you. I believe what happened to you and many, many other women who stepped forward to speak the truth. You are a brave, brave woman. You are brave woman. You are a brave woman and you are a human being. I read the book SUFFER THE LITTLE CHILDREN and a number of other books about the awful, awful laundries. Ireland is guilty of sinning against many innocent children and women.

I could call myself a nuclear physicist - that doesn't make me one. The Spanish inquisition, responsible for the death/torture of innocent people was the result of the Catholic "church" perverting the word of Christ. Catholicism is the embodiment of idolatry, blasphemy and hypocrisy and is NOT the teaching of Jesus Christ. ANY person who tries to spread the gospel with sword instead of love has NO idea what it is to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

It is horrible that society at that time had FEW or NO options for care if they were found to be pregnant and unmarried. What happened to these women in countries with no such (even horribly flawed) systems? Today in non-Catholic countries women continue to be killed in honor killings, maimed, or sold into sexual slavery. None of this makes what was done by the Church right; just that there are always moral laws that have outcomes in the larger society that can all too easily been ignored. May she find mercy somewhere in her world and peace of some sort somehow.

Just not believable,sorry. She’s an all too perfect cliche. At her age the self pitying is also too much. Clearly her stunted emotional development is being exploited by the usual haters obsessed with causing our[Catholic]obliteration. As a convert I have come across others like her who are tethered to egoism for whatever offense was commuted against them and can’t grasp the most beautiful way out of their pain which is the transformative power of the Holy Sacraments. Our Lady has told us that England will “find her way back to the truth”. Interesting that Ms. Coppin feels the need to repeat “but I did speak the truth...” as though to reassure herself of lying. Yes,lying. If the audience weren’t so predisposed of ancient bigotry, they would see right through her.

I can’t believe I Just read your comment . I’ve helped many of these women, the abuse they suffered is disgusting . Treated as if they were sinful.. there are 700 plus dead babies in a Convent In Galway , is that a lie too ? The girls giving birth Weren’t given pain relief . They were beaten, space labour , women never left these vile institutions, the Catholic Church his these abuses for years , finally these women are being recognised for the horrors they went through , babies sold on./ your church is rotten . Many of these ladies didn’t leave and suffered vile abuses . 1000’s of them . The abuse here in Ireland was beyond horrific . And the church still haven’t apologised , Give your head a wobble lady .. I’ve specialised in helping victims of abuse and your church is riddled with it .. to not believe someone when they have been abused is the worst thing . Her voice is finally being heard and she is a somebody and a strong woman at that . Take you lot head out of your BS and also yourself why you are a member of a vile corrupt organisation who has hidden abuse for centuries !

You know nothing about the control over the Irish state the Roman Catholic Chuch has, a state that was built by the Vatican City and who controls the Irish state at every level. Nor do you know of the scale of the abuse of children and woman by the Roman Catholic Church under the protection of the Irish Legal System, the Irish High Court, the Political Class and Military, all of whom are controlled by the Vatican City as part of the Roman Catholic Church's "ring", you know little about the control the Irish Catholic Church has over the Irish Education system that literally conditions children as dogs under the tutelage of the Christain Brothers, Nuns and Jesuits. As somebody both born in Ireland and Educated by both nuns, jesuits and christain brothers in Ireland her cliams are mild in regards to the full scale of abuse of women and children by the church that spiritually prosecutes unmarried women and the bastard children, liberal women, alongside the spiritual prosecution of Homosexuals, Protestants and anybody that is non a Roman Catholic Irish Republican. The relaity is the full scale of abuse by the Roman Catholic Church around the world but specifically in Ireland is being supressed due to the Chruch's deep connection to the Christain Democratic Criminal Justice system as the full scale of abuse, and the Cardinals in the Vatican are well aware of this, will topple the Roman Catholic Church. For example allow us to take Ireland's most notorious predatorial priest Brendan Smyth, whose sexual abuse of children was raised numerous times with a Cardinal known as Sean Brady, who protected, harboured and trafficked Brendan Smyth around the Irish state form where he continued to abuse chidlren, and that Cardinal, Sean Brady, sits in the Vatican as part of the Roman Curia who elects the pope, a man that elects the pope is complicit in the assistance of Ireland's most notorious child abuser and it is that level of criminality and association of the Roman Curia with the perpetrators of abuse that will topple the church. When the full scale of abuse and criminality is investigated properly it will lead all the way to the gates of the Vatican CIty and to the Curia, numerous members of which many believe are also guilty of sex abuse crimes or have an association with the perpetators as they covered up the abuse to protect the stability and reputation of the church. I would suggest you look into the most recent case of Catholic Abuse in Ireland in relation to the Tuam Babies Graves where the remains where found of over 700 children that had died in an institution run by an order of catholic nunse under the governance of the Vatican City, the Irish Legal Systenm and the Irish Political Class, whom I would not be surpsied if members of such organisations themselves where involved in the abuse. If you do not believe her then maybe you will believe the actor Gabriel Byrne that has publicy stated that when he travelled to England at 11 years of age to become a priest he was sexually absued by the priests. And that's only the tip of the iceberg.
