So I am an English student from Spain that had to do a research project about Elizabeth I and gosh you speak so fast it's pretty difficult for a foreign person to understand you, but the video was really helpful after watching it a few times.

This video is very useful and informative. However, as usual with English-made documents, it failed to mention the English Counter-Armada which was a great victory for Philip II of Spain and a costly failure for the court of Elizabeth. After Elizabeth’s death, the Anglo-Spanish war ended with a stalemate and James I have Sir Walter Raleigh executed for provoking hostility towards Spain.

It's unfair how much Mary is painted in a bad light. Her father sent her to be a lady-in-waiting to Elizabeth in attempt to make her life miserable. It didn't work, she actually enjoyed being with her little sister and played with her frequently. Mary wrote to her father saying “My sister Elizabeth is in good health, and such a child toward as I doubt not but your Highness shall have cause to rejoice of in time coming.” and encouraged him to see Elizabeth more. To say she hated Elizabeth is completely inaccurate. It was only Anne Boleyn she hated.

BlackDeathViral03 Elizabeth the Second was only born in England. She doesn't actually have any English blood if you study her ancestry. She has German, Scottish, and Welsh (Through Mary Queen of Scots and her father Henry the 8th, a Tudor). No ruler for over a thousand years that has sat on the throne of England (and now Britain, as Royalty from 1707 onwards was known as the Royalty of Britain) has had English blood, They've had Danes, Normans, Welsh, Scottish, German. As a side note. William and Harry are the Royals with the most Welsh blood. As his mother Diana was from a line that was also descended from an ancient Royal Welsh House. The house of Dinefwr. The same Royal house that JFK was descended from through his Irish line all the way back to a Welsh Princess.

Aisha Malik Hi Aisha, I honestly wouldn’t worry too much, just look over your notes in class, do some practice essays and listen to your teacher’s feedback then write another with that in mind until you’ve got the formula down. If you break up your monarch’s reigns into segments of different time periods and themes it becomes a lot more manageable. I talk really fast in this video because Elizabeth had a ton going on in her reign but some of my others on specifics of her reign might be more useful than this quick overview.
