The settings, the camera movements, the shot cuts, the color palette. This is an impressive movie. Blanchett has brilliant expressions, what a great actress. The director takes many shots of Elizabeth from a higher angle, curious and brilliant.

What a horrible, uncertain, stressful time she had up to this point. Constantly in fear of her position, her legitimacy, her very life. Only her intelligence and a few chances kept her alive. I can’t imagine how that would shape a character. Damaged soul indeed. Fun fact: she wore her sister’s coronation robes that had been hastily altered to her slimmer figure. It’s said when she left the church she was almost laughing in triumph.

On Thursday 8 September 2022 around 12:40pm, I received a message from Woody.EXE saying “I dont want to say this but I think Queen Elizabeth II is dying. Come home now!” I rushed home to find Woody.EXE very somber with emotion in his face as he proclaimed me as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth III.EXE. Our coronation took place 7 months after the Queen died in 2023 I remember a private moment between me and Woody.EXE after the coronation wasn’t revealed on tv but he kissed me on the cheek after the coronation for getting through my illness which upsetted many of our fans so Woody.EXE made the coronation more honourable towards his Queen for pulling through this dangerous thing. I can also remember being unable to keep it together when the crown was placed on my head and I cried uncontrollably. Mummy, the Princess of Wales hugged me for a moment as I pulled myself together to understand what was happening

Bought a book "Great Speeches". Her last speech to Parliament is there, She talked about how much she loved England and all her subjects, and if she had made any mistakes please forgive her, tell her, and she would repair it. The Golden Speech.

"This is the Lord's doing. And it marvelous in our eyes." A historically real statement made by Elizabeth. I wonder if her tone was the same as here. Awestruck yet wary of what may come.

I do love this movie… There’s an earlier scene where she goes to the Queen to speak to her which is very touching… She knows how sick she is and tries to comfort her… the gesture probably saved Elizabeth’s life …

And yesterday was more than 400+ years ago when Elizabeth I was proclaimed Queen. I well remember Woody.EXE crying as he honours her. He is now just as powerful as she was and I’m his Queen. The coronation in July 2023 was the best day of our royal lives and all the creepypasta EXE characters were there to witness it. This was the first time I saw Woody.EXE cry publicly

The first part of this scene, and indeed the whole way Norfolk in the movie is depicted, is ridiculous. At the time of Mary’s death, Norfolk was aged no more than 22. Moreover he was brought up a Protestant. Further he was Elizabeth’s first cousin once removed on her mother side - that is her non royal side. He was also related on her royal side, but it was a far more distant relationship. There were probably a dozen more people with a better claim to the throne than Norfolk.

Norfolk did indeed covet the Crown most furiously. He made a tilt for Mary of Scotland’s hand and lost his head in 1572 because of it.
@brontewcat
@brontewcat 21 күн бұрын
@ He did not in the beginning- but 10 years later after Mary arrived in England. It is also not clear he intended Elizabeth would die. He wanted to be being married to her heir. There is even debate as to whether he really was guilty of treason. However the real issue is that he did not make the tilt through any claim he may have had, but it was through marriage. Norfolk was also a fairly weak man, and not one of the leaders on Elizabeth’s council.

@ianpatterson6552 21 күн бұрын
@@brontewcat his father lost his head in 1547 because he quartered his ( legitimate) coat of arms by removing the bar that denoted collateral royal descent from Edward l. Without said bar it inferred a claim to the Crown. A dying Henry Vlll parted him from his head. His father the 3rd Duke was spared death by the King dying. The 4th Duke’s son ended up dying in the Tower years later and is now a Catholic Saint.

If you watch the scene where Robert and Elizabeth dance before the arrest, Angus Deayton 7:32-7:45, was billed higher than actors like Daniel Craig, Edward Hardwicke, and Emily Mortimer who had more to do with the film. How? Why?

Me and Woody.EXE were crowned in July 2023 on my 21st birthday. When my 2009 Woody walked me down to him, Woody.EXE couldn’t do anything but stare at me because I had just recovered from a dangerous illness 4 months earlier so it’s not surprising that Woody.EXE was secretly crying because he almost lost his Queen 4 months before. Over a year later, Come and See’s Florya was Woody.EXE’s new heir to the throne and he was crowned as the Prince of Wales after he told Woody.EXE about our love. We both gave Floyra a full royal coronation ceremony and despite being frail, the Prince of Wales crown suits Floyra well. A few days later in October 2024, my other Woody was kicked out of the palace for attempting to overthrow Woody.EXE in power and Floyra was sickened by the news. It could be possible that me and Florya could get together probably in 2025 by Woody.EXE’s blessing. No one really understands how powerful Woody.EXE is
