If it's not clear, given what Zeldris was saying to Elizabeth, Zeldris doesn't like his brother has to go through a constant cycle of mourning and loving knowing he will have to mourn her again. Think about it, illogical as it may be to resent her for the fact Meliodas loves her and never gives up on her reincarnations, the fact that her cycle of death and reincarnation is the source of constant pain for Meliodas would still upset Zeldris enough so that he resents Elizabeth as the source of that pain

Looking back at this now I realize just how much the Demon king and the Supreme Deity wanted this Meli to suffer. Though Elizabeth was also inflicted with a curse the one enduring most of suffering was Meliodas, it's a miracle Bro's mind is still intact.

Hopefully, this gives more context to Meli calling the just reincarnated Elizabeth "My girl". Regardless of how it happens, Liz will always fall for Meli and vise versa. Even when you look back on season one, episode one, it seems like writing convince that Liz finds Meli accidentally while looking for him even though she didn't know who he was. Liz was always going to find Meli as fate can never keep those too away from each other, thanks to their curses.

One of the best theories I saw for this series was that the reason why Meli was so pervy, and only to Elizabeth, was that he was trying to push her away, knowing he could never conciosuly do it. It adds context to all of Meli's actions since E1 S1

@@kp_waves that’s more than fair, though I would say Liz was more of the same, Meli just trying to force them away while being unable to directly do so. I haven’t seen Tristan’s story beyond the first episode as the weird 3D animation thing they do really hurts my brain, so I can’t answer on that front.

It's Testament of Sister New Devil, and that shit is beyond degenerate. It's literally just Softcore Pom. And the "fanservice" does not further the plot, it more often than not derails it. The main relationship is straight up incest, and is another power fantasy harem anime that wasted some interesting worldbuilding on what I have already mentioned before.

So, yeah i would say plot bases itself on the fanservice portion. But you not wrong tho, the world and idea of testament is sooo much interesting but we only get snippets of info.

i see no problem with age thing..she is 16 and in love. But the pervy stuff, the touching at any given moment, is portrayed as not being ok in the show too at least. Being pervy and getting hit for it is a trope in many famous anime, dragon ball, naruto etc. As for when she was a child...he did nothing of the sort, no grooming no groping...if anything he was trying to be around her but avoid making her like him for as long as possible.

Well, at this point I believe Elisabeth is 16 years old. If they had made her like 21 I think many people would not have had as big of an issue with it. Especially since it's made quite clear early on that she loves Meliodas.

@@gabevandenhoeven4546 it's probably also the fact that he does it unprompted, at every point, including when they first met and such attachment had not yet properly formed (this Elizabeth is incredibly meek, so she didn't reprimand him, but as seen with other reincarnations, they have actually punted him for something that is definitely wrong, even as little as a hug). It doesn't matter if you are in a relationship. Consent to touch someone in an erotic fashion is required to be asked for if you have any basic decency. Doing so without getting permission is what we call "sexual assault".
