I have seen this clip many times and decided to respond. Elizabeth Taylor was the last of the great ladies of The Golden Age of Hollywood. No one-I repeat, no one out there today will ever be like her. They can try to be carbon copies, but won't even succeed at that. She lives the 'cat of nine lives'. Her personal life was just as glamorous off screen as on. But she also had much pain physically and mentally and personally. Most people don't have much understanding of that. Elizabeth Taylor has paid a dear price for her fame and fortune. Amen to that. Most people cannot understand that show business people like Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland or a Christian Bale do not think the way an average person does. No wonder most of them seek professional emotional help. Not all of them are as level headed and smart as an Barbra Streisand. Elizabeth Taylor has done a lot of good in helping people in the last 20 or so years of her life, so let her rest in peace and God bless her.

Both Elizabeth Taylor (widow) and Eddie Fisher (best friend) were experiencing extreme grief over the horrific loss of Mike Todd in a plane crash. Their shared grief and commiseration lead to a "rebound" type of marriage. Miss Taylor did not set out to "steal Debbie Reynold's husband." Mike Todd was her soulmate and the love of her life. And just when I thought I could not adore her more than I already did.

She was extremely shy, so, more than likely, she drank before she went on stage, so that she could be more relaxed...I like when unexpected stuff like this happens, because these events can be stuffy...I thought Elizabeth entertained the audience in a way that they'll never forget.

Oh, she is lovely! So endearing. She had to take a lot of drugs to combat terrific pain.

Who cares? It's Elizabeth bloody Taylor!! People also need to remember she suffered from chronic back pain and would have been on heavy medication and besides, she's so adorable and endearing. Despite the absolute legend she was, she had no qualms about laughing at herself, what a true icon
