It's so fun for spectators but most of these guys are fresh off of their regional playoffs, immediately into scrims, and then non stop competing + training for weeks, even more for 2nd seeds and minor regions who have to go through play-ins. It's why while I don't particularly believe that older players are automatically worse mechanically, I think it's completely sensical to say that the longer you're in the grind, the more wear and tear your body and mind take. I think people underestimate the damage you do to your body, particularly your hands, arms, shoulders, back, fingers, wrists, and eyes playing this game in high-intensity for 10+ hours a day for a year straight, much more if you're like Faker who's more than a decade in. Not to mention other responsibilities and appearances plus their streaming quotas. Can you imagine catching an illness in the middle of all of this? Elk was literally puking between games and he looked absolutely miserable in his player cam. Their salaries are high, but they pay with their bodies. Uzi and Faker aren't even in their 30s and they're basically doomed with wrist issues for the rest of their lives. EDIT: Lehends also had an interview today revealing he was on IV drip and had to skip some scrims.

@@bobysmith5662 hahahaha, btw lehends and canyon are the ones I liked the most out of GenG so even if my cutie patooties BLG lost I'm still kinda happy for them because this MSI they stepped up (but ofc the narratives will be all about chovy carrying because we are used to praise only midlaners in pro play, he played good but not out of his mind good)

@@doomkingraye7692 I’m totally agree with you. To me it was Lehends, Canyon and Kinn earlier in the tournament who were the true carries. Chovy is good ofc but he doesn’t do anything before 20min beside farming and he need a solid team to do that.
