Appreciate the fantastic video. I ended up going with the Lift RS. 95% of the hunting I do is whitetail deer. Most of my shots are inside of 40 yds. Since I'm sitting at a 27" draw it was a no brainer for me. I absolutely love the rig. The RS is a whitetail killer!!! Your video was very insightful and helped me in the decision making process. Instead of twisting cables, twist the cable loops to get your DW back up to 80#. It does work!! Also, if using cable driven rest, you won't have to remove rest cable to twist the cable
@innovativecavemanАй бұрын
Don't you need to remove the cams to twist the loops?
@98blower17Ай бұрын
Not sure why people are saying twist the cable loop ends. That's the only thing to twist I think they are repeating what they heard, and don't realize thats the only way to twist a cable is to turn it by the end. But no you don't have to remove the cams either way. Simply take the tension off the strings/cables. His for instance was 76lbs I would start with 2 twist in each cable for a total of 4. Then you will need to check tuning/timing to reset it or verify it stayed the same. But at the end of the day it's 4lbs it's not that big of a deal if the bow is already dialed in the results bumping it up 4lbs is frankly non existent..
@AlnelonАй бұрын
@@98blower17 for the 4-piece cables they're talking about twisting up the little short yoke pieces that the cable attaches to, not the whole cable.

I'm hoping I can drop a few oz on the stabs and go with the fixed low pro quiver and lose a bit of weight on my setup for elk. Shooting axis 5mm @ 381 grn. Will look at new axis 5.0 around same weight (370-380) with way more foc. Also hope the lift x can get me about 15 fps more too

@critter852004Ай бұрын
@ 🤣😂 tbh the new limb shift technology and the speeds it’s producing. It’s too good not to. The drop for bowtech was so blah this year. I was close to grabbing the lift 29.5 last year. But my shop locally doesn’t really put in the effort to help with tuning and asking them to swap the top hats is like pulling teeth, and asking my buddy to help would feel like a burden. I just stuck with my Solution SD since it’s easy tune and shoots darts. Even though it shoots great. The draw cycle is rough and I really don’t practice with it until like 2 months out. Have guys at my club that shoot it, then believe it’s on performance when in comfort. These guys are drawing 72-80+ lbs, think it because their bows are much smoother even at a higher DW. Plus in bottomland it looks sick.
@brockpeck7073Ай бұрын
The 80 pound bow is pulling 75 because the strings broke in and lost poundage. Twist the cables up equally a few twist. Will bring poundage back up

I can say past 75 yards I do shoot better with the PSE with the full draw brace height getting longer must work. I never thought I'd shoot a PSE but I feel they did build the best bow and it's lighter and not cold. The paint on the PSE is better than I've ever seen but I found out why. That being said if you guys where to advise an experienced hunter that puts in the time on the other disciplines but has now decided to buy a first bow with absolutely no experience what would you advise. I know there going to be comments try them all get a pro etc agreed… but general direction should be looking, including bow, sights, releases, arrows all of it. What is needed more than just extra/advantages that a newbie don’t need and what is more than good enough first year. Also list of content that may already be out there that I’m missing associated with this comment would be cool.
