I just love this soap, I love how you did the blueberries 🫐 A tip for your growing fruit, tie some old cds on fishing swivels and fishing line, the moving reflections will reduce the birds, I don’t like to use netting because small finches can get caught and break their wings, at least here in Australia 🇦🇺 the cds work a treat for in the doorways of chook pens, it stops the crows

It is fantastic how you got those neat swirlie twirlies. A good way to make the dollops look like Blueberries! I love the small round sweet watermelons cold. Next is Strawberries. Well all of them, I guess! Even Tropical fruits 😉 Cheers 👍🤗

I so love this! I too have two blueberry bushes in my yard but we still go pick in late summer so we have a massive stash of them for the year. Husband loves blueberry pie. And I just made blueberry lemmon cupcakes for my mother in law yesterday. Best frosting ever. (Disolve 1/4 c cornstarch in 1 C cold milk, add 1/2 c sugar, bring to boil, cook one min on low, let cool to room temp, beat in 2/3 c room temp butter then add 1/2 c good blueberry jam and beat til combined.) Not too sweet and just amazingly delicious. Any jam works. Strawberry is another good one. ❤️

I learned how to save the blueberries for me, once the green fruit is set, wrap the bush in tulle fabric. The light and rain get thru but not the birds! I've enjoyed many more blueberries once starting this. Just clip together the fabric with the black paper clips you squeeze to get on

Beautiful soap! Looks good enough to eat! The in the pot swirl turned out really cool! My grandmother also covered her blueberry bush with netting to get blueberries before the birds. We have a white peach tree in our yard here in Missouri. Something is getting them all though! It’s too tall to net! Keep up the good work!

Love the soap. A little hint to help keep the birds away from your blueberry bushes: Place some netting over them, it will keep the birds at bay. I have an uncle who does this for his blackberries, works like a charm!

Good question, I haven’t had any issues because I keep the % of purée additives pretty low. The saponification process acts as a preservative.

Generally, using about a tablespoon of fruit per pound of oils works well. But yes, fruit, pumpkin, carrots puree added to soap can cause problems like overheating and develop mold. Lye can only do so much,.
